And what a 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 it was! 💙🪩

It’s been a week since closing and I’m reflecting on what an incredible experience this production was. It’s been 8 years since I was last in a full length musical and I couldn’t have asked for a better cast to come back to it with. It was so wonderful to get to work with old classmates and make such good new friends. It was such a joy to go to rehearsal every night.

It was so cool to directed by my college professor @divadesiree1 and get to work with the incredibly talented choreographer @danceceo and music director Ian Krauss. Thank you @ellemcgowanpike for being the best dance captain! 🕺💃🏻

This show was such a labor of love. 3 months of rehearsals, 2 weeks of tech (which was brutal in the heat and humidity 🥵), 16 costume changes (thank you for your hard work and creativity @tajma_designs), 8 characters, and 9 dance numbers.

The rain robbed us of 1 and a half of our 3 performances, so we only got to do the full show once, but I am very proud of what we presented for Richmond.

Thank you @dogwooddellrva and @spicy_mayo_jr for your passion for this tradition and all your hard work that allowed us to be a part of the 69th festival of the arts. I will cherish this show always 🎙️💿 taken in Dogwood Dell Amphitheater by @jcwolver

It may have looked a little different and taken a little longer than I planned but life is like a GPS and you can always get where you want to go you just might have to reroute a little. I couldn’t have done it without my family and my girlfriend @hailey.rowden who stood by me and studied with me since day one 🥹

📷: @alexburrussphoto thank you for the stunning senior pictures that highlight some important places from my time at VCU 🍾✨

That’s a wrap on my fifth year of Haunt and my first year as an alternate. 👻 It was fun and challenging to have to come up with new characters and scares for the different areas. I went back to masquerade twice and then got to play in Pumpkin Eater 🎃 Uprising 🧟‍♀️ and Blood on the Bayou 🪦🩸
