While the end of incarceration may appear to be the beginning of freedom, the reality is that people who have been incarcerated continue to deal with limited freedom. Curfews, drug tests, and housing and travel limitations make life after incarceration an experience that limits what you are able to do and makes it more difficult to move beyond labels such as "felon" or "ex-con".

Join Escaping Time on Governors Island as part of the "Outside the Box" series of events on Saturday, September 5th, for a screening of the short film "Hurry Up and Wait," written and directed by Ramone Fairweather. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with the director and members of the cast, where they will talk about life after parole and what it's like to be a part of capturing it on film.

Check the Eventbrite link in bio to reserve your spot for the viewing.
