Behind the Scenes 1⚡️ This week we peek at the process of developing an idea to help a person very close to me find a Living Kidney Donor. (Her story is in the comments if you have a minute) The final product will be 4.2"x5.5" postcard flyers to visually compete in crowded public spaces.

Taking inspiration from an instantly recognizable image which also reflects her love of music, the idea is to grab attention while doing a catchy play on the theme of kidney donation.

Text is a big focus here, as this needs to lead the eye to primary, secondary, tertiary points in the message quickly and clearly.

* Pro Tip- Your fridge door is a better spot than the light table for referring back to layout changes throughout the day because your brain isn't expecting it.

After deciding on a couple of nicely contrasting typefaces and experimenting with color, weight, & copy, I blocked the main text off in a square, kearned & stretched to taste, and ultimately positioned elements to lead the eye clockwise from the top left around to the fine print, with the prism aimed at the primary message for the final.

Questions and feedback are welcome, as this is only the 1st design in a series for her. ⚡️J by @jdittydesign
