Star Wars Reimagined: The Chosen One

From L-R: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader

“An old prophesy exists amongst the Jedi, passed down from Master to Apprentice in the softest whispers.

One day, a chosen one will be born out of The Force itself, and bring balance.

Obi-Wan, an aged knight of the near-extinct Jedi Order, once believed that the answer to this prophecy was his apprentice Anakin Skywalker. But the young Jedi would be swayed by the temptations of the Sith, and fall to a knee before the Emperor, Darth Sidious.

Now, Obi-Wan has begun training the son of his former apprentice. Luke Skywalker, a young man raised on the moisture farms of Tatooine. He just might be the one to bring balance to the Force, and save the galaxy.”

Had a hoot and a holler with this post! I paid a bunch of attention to old Ralph McQuarrie artwork for these three. Not sure if the end result is all too obviously inspired by that artwork, but the influence was definitely there during the building process.

A Thank You.

I’ve had the huge privilege to be a part of this community as “JDM Bricks” for two years now. And it’s been such a wildly fun experience getting back into this hobby that brought so much joy to my childhood.

Reaching the 10k benchmark right before hitting that two year anniversary is such a sweet coincidence. I’m so grateful to all of the friends I’ve made along the way, it’s honestly been the biggest highlight.

Juub has definitely been a “mascot” of my page for most of my time on here, so I just wanted to share these two shots. The first slide is very much in my current style. But that second one is the first ever photo I took of Juub. (Slightly re-edited, but I tried to leave it as close to the original post as possible!)

This community is awesome. The people are awesome. Thanks for everything ❤️

Star Wars Reimagined: The Separatists

From L to R: Super Battle Droid, Nemoidian Soldier, Nimbus Commandos, Battle Droid.

“The Separatists forces are as numerous as they are fierce.
Battle Droids stalk after republic soldiers, supported by hulking Super Battle Droids.
Nemoidian Soldiers use advanced technologies to wipe entire continents of life.
And when a touch of stealth is required, elite Nimbus Commandos from the death-world of Jabiim come into the fray, cutting down any in their path.”

Moving over to prequel territory with this one! The Nimbus Commandos are maybe a bit of a deep cut, hopefully they’re recognizable enough!

The Adventurers Three

From L-R: Kiara, Éonwyn, Juub

“Three unlikely companions met at the worst of times, but isn’t that when friends are needed most!

Kiara was once part of a crew of Tabaxi pirates, but she found herself marooned on an island, with much of her memory gone.
After being rescued by rum smugglers, she went to the city of Darim and joined the thieves guild. An expert rogue, she’s a deft pick-pocket and a crack shot with a hand crossbow!

Éonwyn began her life in a monastery, and was raised to be a paladin of the Sun-God Meir. But age and world-wariness brought distance between her and her faith.
Now, she travels as a wandering fighter, often turning to mercenary work. Short tempered and impulsive, few would want to cross her blade.

Juub is of the Uumaki’il, beings as old as trees and rivers. He was once the protector of a small woodland, but it was burnt to ash by northern armies.
He now travels upon the road, as many Uumaki’il do, without a home. He finds some solace in his friendship with Kiara and Éonwyn, folk just as lost as himself.”

Another adventuring party! I’ve been wanting to fit Juub into one of these, and I decided to go with this one!

I also really like the poncho on Éonwyn, I think it looks great with the armor!

The Solar Sorcerer

“A quiet and curious soul, as Sol, standing at the center of a ring of heavenly bodies. Pondering themself as their own observatory. Wondering at the beginning and the end. The questions eclipse the answers.

My entry for the final week of the #haonsummershowdown2 “Eclipse”. For this one I was really into the idea of a “planetary eclipse”, so I tried making a fella to represent a Sun of sorts, with planets orbiting him.

The Unruly Youths Adventure Party

“The Unruly Youths are an adventuring party hailing from a magical academy set up to train the next generation of dungeon crawlers!

For their Mid-Term, the group has been tasked with hunting down a plethora of mimics reported through the town surrounding their school. Will the Unruly Youths pass with flying colors? Check in tomorrow to see what they’re up against!”

A fun collab with @asortaokaybuilder who will be making some accompanying monsters for this adventuring party!

This group is also meant to pay homage to the Bad Kids from @dimension20show

They put together an amazing series following a group of misfit highschool adventurers, and the show can be seen on their YouTube channel, highly recommend checking it out!

These three versions of my Sigfig Juub serve as a sort of “celebration” of three things!

Firstly, I’m at 3k followers, which is baffling!

Secondly, I’m quickly approaching the one year anniversary of this account!

Thirdly, these posts subtly include many of you!

Getting to know so many of you, whether it’s through Umbasa, Majesty Minifigs, Chaos Cantina, or just through DM’s and the like, has been such a blessing

So, to celebrate all of these wonderful relationships I’ve made over the last year, I’ve included a little Easter Egg referencing a bunch of my favorite folks across these three posts! Some of them are incredibly obvious, others are a bit more obscure!

A couple of them are in reference to a handful of people, while others are placed in the photo for one person specifically!

If you’re someone who’s in one of the groups I mentioned above, or someone who I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know through some other means, just know how MASSIVELY I appreciate you. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to plug into this community!

The Old Aqueduct.

Wanted to get some fresh eyes on this old build (with some progress photos I found). Mainly looking for some constructive criticism from folks familiar with doing larger builds.

Any glaring issues here? What could be improved on/what should be kept?

I’m gonna try remaking this MOC at a slightly larger scale, and if all goes well, it’ll be something I try displaying at Brickworld Chicago next year!

Any thoughts on what I should keep in mind for the re-build is much appreciated! Feel free to hit me up with a DM if you’ve got some thoughts!

Red Rising

I’ve been having such a fun time getting into this series! Just finished the fourth book, and I’m getting through Dark Age now! Might try to make some posts with other characters, but I decided for now to just go with Sevro, Darrow, and Cassius in their Pulse Armor.

Our prompts this time around were: Fire, Water, Nature, Color, Pirate, and Eclipse!
