TOGETHER, WE GAVE THEM A LIFT! 🤍

What an incredible way to wrap up Jeff’s WINGMAN 2026 campaign!

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing donors, clients, partners, employees, and community supporters, Encore Trucking is proud to donate $6,000 to WINGS Safe Housing & Support! ❤️

Every donation, raffle prize purchased, like and share, helped make this campaign a success. Your support helps WINGS continue providing safe housing, resources, and hope to women and children rebuilding their lives after family violence.

At Encore, giving back to the communities we call home has always been close to our hearts. We’re incredibly proud of Jeff for taking on the WINGMAN challenge and grateful to everyone who stood behind him to make a meaningful difference.

This is what community is all about — coming together, lifting each other up, and creating lasting impact.

From all of us at Encore, THANK YOU for being part of this journey! Our support for WINGS doesn’t end here. ❤️🪽

As well as a big congratulations to the Winners of raffle prizes! You will be contacted directly. taken in Encore Trucking & Transport Ltd by @jeffalution

We had the pleasure of checking out a newer local spot, @patriciastreetdeli, and what a gem! ❤️

Every Tuesday, they host an open mic night paired with delicious, home-cooked, oven-roasted chicken wings. Great food, live music and a welcoming atmosphere! What's not to love? 🍗🎶

But there's a little more to their story. Their original deli was located in Jasper, AB, before it was destroyed by the wildfires two years ago. Since then, they've rebuilt and relocated to Edmonton, opening their doors at 10567 111 St NW, where they've been serving the community for just under a year.

It's always special to discover local businesses with a story behind them, and you can feel the heart and passion these folks put into what they do.

Go show them some love, Edmonton! ❤️ Supporting local means supporting the incredible people who make our community what it is. by @jeffalution

What an absolute legendary spot, where you are greeted with a warm smile from the staff or from a fellow regular bellied up at the bar!!

Their pints are crisp and their wings are even crispier! Seriously, they might have the best salt & pepper wings in town! 🔥

⭐ Featured WINGMAN ⭐

Meet Jeff Lucas, Vice President of Encore Trucking and Transport Ltd. and one of this year’s WINGMEN!

Encore is a family business celebrating 45 years this year, and Jeff has been part of the company for about 22 years. He also runs Cheshire Productions, works with Backside Tours and recently announced Edmonton Wing Fest, coming in fall 2027.

Jeff’s connection to supporting families impacted by family violence began through Encore. Several years ago, the company helped with projects at safe houses, where Jeff and his family learned more about the challenges women and children can face when leaving abuse, including shelters reaching capacity. Encore began purchasing hotel rooms to help women and children when shelters were full.

For Jeff, it reinforced how important it is for communities to be there for people leaving dangerous situations.

“Nobody deserves to get left behind and people need communities that lift them up.”

Jeff brought two meaningful items for his WINGMAN photos. The first is Encore’s Boom and Burn Bundle, a collection of hot sauces created to give back to the community, with $5 from every bottle made donated to charity.

He also brought his grandfather Frank Lucas’s handmade hard hat from 1976, when he worked as a drilling superintendent near Ahvaz, Iran. The hard hat represents Jeff’s grandparents, Frank and Elinor Lucas, who laid the foundation for their family business and have always been an inspiration to Jeff.

There are only a few days left to support WINGMAN! Help us finish September strong by supporting a WINGMAN, sharing the campaign or making a donation.

Thanks to a generous matching gift from CanadaOne Auto, Waterloo Ford Lincoln and Freedom Ford, donations will be matched up to $40,000! Funds raised through WINGMAN support Wings’ safe housing, programs and services for women and children rebuilding their lives after family violence.
