Well, I haven’t been everywhere….

But Jeff Gerber Presents has now spoken in all 10 Canadian provinces!

Add to that 6 more US States! (not including the 21 States where my work with CharacterStrong has taken me as well - whew 😀)

With the recent @cslahorizons tour to NL completed, in the four years since leaving the classroom I have been blessed to talk about Leadership, Love, and Belonging at schools and conferences literally across North America.

I continue to be empowered by the tireless, selfless work of educators and the unbridled potential of students today.

Thankful for all the opportunities! Excited moving forward to continue to serve the education community!

And to take the truth about the importance of belonging to living well, leading well, loving well, and being well to associations, organizations, helping professions, and more!

The Saga Continues….

Student Leadership at Waterloo Collegiate Institute continues to do the work to make their school a place where everyone belongs.

After several years of speaking to future Vikings in the spring (including many who are now involved in student leadership) it was exciting to be back in the fall as part of a whole day of activities to build belonging with Grade 9s.

The transition to high school is a critical time for students to make the connections and relationships that will serve as the foundation for their future belonging, wellbeing, and academic success.

This one was special.

Blessed to be the speaker invited to share at this year’s Heather Laxdal Leadership Symposium earlier this week at Yorkton RHS.

Yorkton hosted the first Canadian Student Leadership Conference in 1985. The staff advisor and organizer was Barry Sharpe. The student chair and leader was Heather Laxdal. She had a vision to not just bring student leaders together across the country, but to bring leadership speakers to her school for all to benefit. She was tragically killed in a car accident in 1988. Every year since then the school, the @yorktonkinsmen, and Heather’s family have brought in leadership speakers to inspire the students of Yorkton and to fulfill Heather’s vision.

Speakers like Mark Scharenbroich, Alvin Law, Pinball Clemens and many others have shared at this event. To be on any list with those speakers and to be trusted to share in Heather’s memory is truly an honour.

Thanks Roby, the Kinsmen, the Laxdal family and Yorkton RHS for the opportunity to serve in this way. And for all you do to continue to make Yorkton RHS a school where everyone belongs. taken in Yorkton Regional High School by @jeffgpresents

Texas Association of Student Council Advisors! Great to be back with y’all in Austin last weekend!

Appreciate all you do to help make your schools a place where everyone belongs. Really excited that your State Stuco Service project for this school year is to “Connect Beyond Limits”.

Loved being able to share as the Closing Keynote how we can multiply our efforts by equipping all staff to make belonging a priority in their classrooms - like Mrs Burkhardt did for our 9th grade English class. And to run a breakout session focused on building those positive and supportive staff relationships so vital to our school culture, our wellbeing, and our students’ academic achievement.

Great to connect with old friends and make new ones as well.

Look forward to continuing this work with you.

Building Cultures of Belonging this fall across the continent meeting the unique needs of a wide range of communities.

Conference keynotes. Staff PD and Teambuilding. Leadership Workshops. Community Building. School Assemblies. Parent Sessions.

Sept 14 in Austin, TX delivering the closing keynote at the Texas Stuco and NHHS Advisors conference.

Sept 15 coming alongside Central Elgin CI for a school assembly and leadership workshop as they welcome students from a nearby school closed for renovations to their school community. On October 26 I will work further with their staff to provide them the tools they need to help make their school a place where everyone belongs.

Sept 21 in Yorkton SK speaking at an annual leadership symposium to empower student leaders.

Sept 22 serving as a guest expert instructor for the Creator:Ignite Conference equipping students to share their stories and impact their communities

Sept 23 after speaking for several years to their incoming students in the spring, this fall we are back to WCI to encourage the Grade 9 class to make the most of their school days by building connections and positive relationships.

October 6 at St Teresa of Avila the audience is students and parents. In the afternoon, a school assembly around the theme of Belonging. In the evening a Parent Community Info Session focused on Parenting in the Digital Age.

November 11 a community building morning keynote in support of the important work of the staff and volunteers at Community Support Connections

Maui Road trip!!

Julie and I love a good road trip. Yesterday combining the drive above the clouds to the 10,000 foot summit of Haleakalā Summit with the epic Road to Hana was certainly a once in a lifetime experience.

Starting at the Paia Corner Cafe in the early morning light. Driving the harrowing narrow Road to Hana with its 50+ single lane bridges, sweeping ocean views, beautiful waterfalls (with a few selfies that we didn’t know were videos 😀), looking out over Keopuka Rock from the Jurrasic Park opening sequence, and experiencing the larger than life flora and fauna will always be remembered.

The Haleakalā Summit is home to the High Altitude Observatory placed there because this mountain peak offers some of the clearest, brightest, and unobscured views of the stars and skies of any location on earth. The 30 minutes drive to the top, the views of the dormant volcanic crater, and standing above the clouds were truly amazing.

We didn’t get to church this Sunday. But so blessed to take in this beautiful part of God’s wonderful creation we all share! taken in Maui, HI by @jeffgpresents
