What an awesome day at the Canadian Student Leadership Conference in beautiful Haliburton, ON.

Connecting with amazing leadership teachers from across Canada. Connecting with student leaders who are going to make positive change in this country. And meeting and hearing a beauty of a Canadian @alanthomasdoyle give the opening keynote for the weekend.

Canada rules. 🇨🇦

Event 1: in the books ✅

We hosted our very first event at Sapling Kitchen and lived approximately 7 different lives in one day. A highlight reel of the chaos and the glory:

🥩 The food showed up and showed OUT (flank steak with maple embers butter, we’re still thinking about you)
🧅 The caramelized onions disappeared faster than we could make them, thanks Jana!
🍮 London fog crème brûlée made an appearance and yes, it was as good as it sounds
❄️ We got stuck in the walk-in cooler and had a full team moment discovering why the door wouldn’t budge
🏗️ Somewhere in there we also did team building with PVC pipes, because why not
🙏 And at the end of it all — a review that said food was a 12/10, hosts were a 15/10 (we’ll take it)

First event, first of hopefully many. Full day, full kitchen, fuller hearts.

Thank you @canadianstudentleaders for bringing such joy to the space 🌱

Look at this amazing group of young leaders from @fvsdeducation …

Last week, I had the honour of sharing the stage with @jeffgpresents for the @cslahorizons Leadership Conference in beautiful LaCrete, AB.

These young leaders showed nothing but kindness, respect, and enthusiasm towards myself and Jeff during both our keynotes and the entire day.

The student council at @lcps_acts was outstanding.

Thank you to every teacher advisor who brought your students (some travelling for more than three hours to make it). It was an awesome day.

Last day and good bye to OSLC. @jeffgpresents gave us advisors things to think about in how we approach our work with students and school staff. Olympian Heather Moyse talked about goals and values and the best school MPSS won for the best poster! Thanks to @stu_saunders70 and the team @peregrine_leadership for giving young leaders the opportunity to find their super powers. Much gratitude.
