Scott Eastwood has built a career on action, grit and characters defined by resilience—but Lucky Strike almost became the film he didn’t make. Now starring in the upcoming World War II drama, Eastwood delivers one of his most meaningful performances, reflecting on the responsibility of portraying veterans and the enduring power of unity in the face of adversity.

“When we need to come together as Americans, we can come together and put our differences aside and fight for the things that matter.”

In our cover story, Eastwood opens up about why this script changed his mind, what filming Lucky Strike taught him about sacrifice and perseverance, why stories of World War II still resonate today, and what’s next as he continues to expand his career with new film projects.

Remembering Chris Cornell today.
Shot for his final album, Higher Truth, on a brutally hot day in Long Island City. Mostly natural light, minimal setup, just Chris being completely present. One of the most special shoots of my career.

HBO’s the Dark Wizard Documentary about legendary climber Dean Potter is a must watch. @outsidemagazine sent me on assignment to Yosemite to hang out with Dean and his wife Steph Davis in 2006. This is image was taken right before things started to go sideways for the charismatic climber. I feel this moment in El Captain meadow truly shows their happiness together. taken in Yosemite National Park by @jefflipsky
