Sophie LoVecchio 💕 we love you so much already sweet girl, we can’t wait to love you for a lifetime by @jefflovecchio
I’ve had trouble the last two days trying to find words strong enough to describe what this man meant to our family What he meant to me He lead our family for almost seven decades with heart, determination, dignity, wisdom & and an immeasurable amount of love. So. Much. Fucking. Love. A man willing to do ANYTHING for his family A man who faithfully loved his wife for over six decades and showed us daily how to be an amazing husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather The lessons you taught The lessons I caught All things I will pass down to my daughter The world was a better place because of you Heroes get remembered But legends never die I will make you proud by @jefflovecchio
I don’t even know what to say … My grandma was a lighthouse. She was everything that was right & good in this world. She made everyone around her feel special and loved and heard. No matter what was happening in her life or yours, she was always there to remind you that your life is what you make of it. When I was younger I got teased by everyone for being goofy & skinny & weak But grandma was always there to remind that if I wanted something it was up to me. Somehow, despite not living in the same city or state as us for most my life, she was at EVERYTHING of mine. It’s like she was Santa Claus or something and was able to make it all of her grandchildren’s important moments, no matter what. Every single time she visited, she would leave me post it notes on my bathroom mirror, my pillow or next to my bed to remind me that I was special and that if there was anything I wanted in this life that it was possible and it would ultimately be up to me to work for it. Her post it notes literally changed my the way I thought about myself, my mindset and ultimately my hockey career. My whole life (even when I eventually signed and became a professional hockey player) she would constantly remind me that “if it is to be, it’s up to me.” As a kid, when I had no confidence on the ice & shied away from puck battles she would come to my games and wouldn’t let me out of the car until we had our pre-game chat. She would say, “Jeffrey, who’s DAMN puck is it ?!!!” in her toughest grandma voice To which I would have to reply, “it’s my DAMN puck !!!” (This was the ONLY time I was allowed to cuss) and she would ask me over and over and over until she believed that I believed what I was saying … And after all of those talks, I actually did. Grandma was the first person to expose me to the law of attraction and how important our self talk really is at a time when both my hockey career & in real life, I reallllly needed to learn that To know grandma was to love her Real love I will miss the overwhelming feelings of joy pulling up to your house. I will miss hearing the keys and bells on the back of your door that we’d all hear before being greeted by the by @jefflovecchio

You only get so many hours in a week to get better on the ice. To truly develop more than others - what are you doing away from the rink to keep that development momentum going? by @jefflovecchio
Who will win MY belt this year at the annual @willbinspired veteran’s gala ????? To all participating in this years competition, here’s some advice from reigning champ 1️⃣ Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good 2️⃣ Mog & Aura farm all night leading up to game time 3️⃣ Be decisive, wars aren’t won on indecision 4️⃣ Hydrate between rounds, it took at least six rounds to make it to the Gold Medal game you see here. Longevity is important in this sport. Take care of the temple so it can take care of you when it matters 5️⃣ WHEN you win, be sure to almost bear hug a stranger to death if they’re too close to the battlefield I wish all of this years participants good luck … You’re going to need it by @jefflovecchio
Puck drop is the one fixed point on game day, so plan your morning backwards from it. Start with when you need to be at the rink, then build back through your pre-game meal and warm-up, so you never feel rushed once it counts. Everyone’s order looks a little different. Do what you gotta do on game day, but have it figured out before your alarm goes off 🏒 by @jefflovecchio
20 mins picked something fun I don’t have access to anywhere other than @1stphorm HQ ❤️🤝 by @jefflovecchio
What do you do as a coach when you start slow as a team? GO BACK TO IDENTITY. Great stuff here from Vechs and amazing advice for any coach whose team didn’t start well. by @jefflovecchio
Was going to post a training video this morning … Then I saw this memory The innocence in a child’s laughter makes me want to make the world a better place for them Message of the day : LEAVE THE WORLD & THOSE AROUND YOU BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT If not for yourself, for them by @jefflovecchio
Getting injured sucks, but it can also be an opportunity to grow and develop. Here is ABSOLUTE GOLD from Vechs on how he used injuries and other hard moments in his career to become a better hockey player. by @jefflovecchio
