Last year we rolled out a big safety and operations glow-up, investing in some serious infrastructure to make sure we kept the community safe, pipes flowin, and vibes high. For 2026 we’re polishing these efforts even more:

**A FULL HARM REDUCTION TEAM**
including a harm reduction station with a medic, and a dance floor safety team spread throughout the club.

**AN INDEPENDENT QUEER-LED SECURITY TEAM**
to help to make sure everyone is safe and secure.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: 🚨 @jeffreysfire

@jeffreysfire is originally from suburban Detroit, where he was introduced to underground dance music and illegal warehouse parties as a teenager in the 90’s. This escape from suburbia led him to the dancefloors of the city’s most talented DJs and
musicians, who soon exposed him to a new culture of creative riches. Learning by example, Sfire’s taste and skills as a DJ developed naturally and he soon began playing
out at parties, clubs and sleazy gay afterhours, entering covertly through back doors or with a fake ID.

At the age of 18, a move to Chicago led Sfire to a whole other side of dance music history, including the Italo Disco and High Energy sounds of the 1980s. He spent afternoons digging through record store crates, meeting retired DJs and developing his musical palette. Jeﬀrey’s style is absolutely unique and clearly tied to the roots of his midwest upbringing and he can be found working the floor out with italo, high nrg, chicago house, and everything WBMX. Having held numerous club residencies, he regularly plays in LA, Detroit, Chicago, and New York, consistently oﬀering a finely-tuned selection at clubs like Basement and Nowadays in NY, Panoramabar Berlin, and Hot
Mass in Pittsburgh. He also has a hand in producing parties such as Detroit’s infamous Movement weekend queer rager, Club Toilet, and collaborating with Justin Cudmore on a new monthly Sunday party at Signal (NY).

Jeﬀrey is also a gifted producer and one half of production projects: Sfire (with Sophie), Looky Looky, and Pushing Movies with releases on labels such as Dark Entries, Cocktail
D’Amore Music and Ultramajic, while his mixes have long been prized for their depth and quality and are often featured as RA mix of the day.

I had the most meaningful, extraordinary, magical, supernatural Honcho Campout. I had tremendous experiences I can’t explain and am deeply transformed. That land is more powerful than any of us know. This weekend it trusted us enough to say hi, more than it ever has. I was given incredible gifts all weekend: a beautiful chance encounter with an old friend, a deepening of bonds with my partner, a renewed passion for my own creative practice, and a performance — a love letter to someone I miss deeply — that shared the magnificent gift of living and loving, and the tremendous grief of loss. I feel so lucky to be a part of the Honcho family, and we are so lucky to have the effort of everyone involved. Nothing can convey the love I have for @honchopgh , and I am so honored to have contributed. Thank you to the friends, the dancers, and the staff who made the magic — and to @sav_g_ for inviting me. 🏳️‍🌈 Pride Weekend. Three perspectives. One marathon celebration of music, connection, and queer nightlife culture.

From Pittsburgh @honchopgh brings the community-building ethos that grew from Hot Mass into one of the defining institutions of the modern queer underground. From New York, ma++er by @vcalderone carries forward the marathon afterhours journeys that shaped generations of the city’s nightlife culture. And from the Midwest by way of Brooklyn, J&J Repairs channels Detroit grit, Chicago rhythm, and a DIY devotion to the dancefloor.

Next weekend we come together for 30 hours of music, movement, connection, and love at Refuge’s inaugural Pride event. We’re not going to be shady… just Fierce.. a Pride Miracle! Presented by ma++er + Honcho + J&Js Repairs

Before anything else, an event of this scale takes an enormous amount of work, trust, and collaboration. It is built by artists, organizers, technicians, venue staff, friends, hosts, and community members who give their time, energy, and care to create something larger than any one person.

We feel humbled by everyone who has helped bring this weekend to life, especially Victor C and Refuge for bringing J&J Repairs and Honcho on board. We’re all deeply grateful to everyone who will walk through the doors and become part of it.

Pride has always been created collectively. We cannot wait to share this one with you. Remember to rest, stay hydrated, disco nap, eat something girl, and watch out for each other.
