ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: 🚨 @jeffreysfire @jeffreysfire is originally from suburban Detroit, where he was introduced to underground dance music and illegal warehouse parties as a teenager in the 90’s. This escape from suburbia led him to the dancefloors of the city’s most talented DJs and musicians, who soon exposed him to a new culture of creative riches. Learning by example, Sfire’s taste and skills as a DJ developed naturally and he soon began playing out at parties, clubs and sleazy gay afterhours, entering covertly through back doors or with a fake ID. At the age of 18, a move to Chicago led Sfire to a whole other side of dance music history, including the Italo Disco and High Energy sounds of the 1980s. He spent afternoons digging through record store crates, meeting retired DJs and developing his musical palette. Jeffrey’s style is absolutely unique and clearly tied to the roots of his midwest upbringing and he can be found working the floor out with italo, high nrg, chicago house, and everything WBMX. Having held numerous club residencies, he regularly plays in LA, Detroit, Chicago, and New York, consistently offering a finely-tuned selection at clubs like Basement and Nowadays in NY, Panoramabar Berlin, and Hot Mass in Pittsburgh. He also has a hand in producing parties such as Detroit’s infamous Movement weekend queer rager, Club Toilet, and collaborating with Justin Cudmore on a new monthly Sunday party at Signal (NY). Jeffrey is also a gifted producer and one half of production projects: Sfire (with Sophie), Looky Looky, and Pushing Movies with releases on labels such as Dark Entries, Cocktail D’Amore Music and Ultramajic, while his mixes have long been prized for their depth and quality and are often featured as RA mix of the day. ✨Come celebrate pride with us and our friends at @readtheroom.atl room ✨ LINE UP: @jeffreysfire - DET @tanner__castro - OT @skank.party @ph383 - ATL Phox and Friends @official_fabuloso - ATL @dj_mike_bradley - ATL INFO: 691 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE Unit P, Atlanta ⏰ - 18:00-3:00 🎟️ - https://ra.co/events/2529223 Limited tickets available **** This will sell out **** Get ready. Start today and in a few years you’ll be playing out at the same spots where you dance now I spent 15 years collecting music and waiting for someone to teach me before I decided to do it myself. I bought the cheapest possible pioneer gear and watched some youtube videos…so you can do it too. But if you have questions or want a lesson I’ll be happy to help you out ☺️ 🎶: @lcdsoundsystem vs. Sfire (@sophie_msmsmsm x @jeffreysfire)

People of the world today, are we looking for a better way of life 🫶🏼 Big love to the supersized Backline and Stage team for sharing their gifts, and making this year run smoother and fiercer than ever before. Crew moments, BTS moments, and thee moments: @2gemini2gemini @c_robo_ @chachiguerrero @dj.ari.b @evan.tail @heylibuse @iamkate.land @kandylion @luciabeyond @m___schubert @mikeswells @nestor_patagia @sasb.radio (and DJ set!) @that_juana @vicentaea @willjackthedj 💖 to @dalezworldwide @joedelon and @honchopgh I felt a lot of deep change and growth in myself, and saw it in my friends and everywhere else. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all those who took my hand when it was more than I could handle myself, esp @saritadoe and @light_asylum. After the sweat lodge, the weather threat and retreat, and countless tiny perfect alignments…it’s all much bigger, too much to write off as luck… Nyeaahhhhhh?!! Love my garbage man and all the beautiful trash we get to make together @czechhunterbiden

BIG news from the stoic monarch of savannahland… I am extremely proud to issue this communiqué announcing my role as one of the curators at this year’s Honcho Campout in Pennsylvania. My heart is filled with joy and mirth at the opportunity to put my girls on for such a storied and enigmatic gathering. I am also thrilled to be playing in NYC at the end of month alongside Detroit legend Norm Talley at Public Records. I’m still seeking a couple ancillary gigs there as well so please connect me if you know of anyone or anywhere that would like to have me. In addition, this Saturday, I’m closing out my favorite queer party in Detroit for Siren’s Indie Sleaze function. And to top it all off, TONIGHT, I’m playing 12-2 alongside my lovely Stevano for another Go Down. These are always a blast and I love getting messy on a Tuesday. Love to everyone supporting me on my journey ✨🥀
