Was a pleasure to have a spot in the @thespacebetween.collective_ art pop up show! So many talented, creative, innovative artists in attendance! I met several who were just starting out and are creating truly amazing work! Thank you to the organizers for creating a space for emerging artists in DC to show their work!

"Fertilization"

Limited engraved print series, ink and acrylic on paper

Upon digging through the archives, I came across some of my entaglio prints that are made through a metal plate engraving process. They are part of a larger "body" of work in the early 2010s focusing on reproduction and the pressure to procreate which shaped the works at that time in my life. Needless to say, I did not succumb to that pressure. 🤣

A journey through the archives with over 15 years of art to determine what to make into prints and what to start selling. It's overwhelming to think about, but I'll get there. Let me know in the comments if you saw anything you liked!

"Metal Flower"

Glass enamel on copper.

I started 2026 by learning a new craft, enameling on metal. Metal takes a lot more patience than clay but then result is more durable. But that premise of durability applies to many things in life that require patience.

"Focused on the Outcome"

Acrylic on ceramics

I created this piece as another important lesson learned in the search for love: to remain present and not get so caught up in a fantasy of what could be. As a romantic person at heart, I have faced a struggle not letting my infatuations make me ignore the glaring red flags right in front of me. This neglect of my own needs is reflected in the cracks and void in the piece. I'm glad to say i am more mindful and present now but I still have to catch myself sometimes. 🎈
