As a theater director, casting Black actors in Shakespeare’s plays has allowed me to imagine new possibilities for Shakespeare’s stories and text incorporating Black culture into the world of the play. In “Six Winters Gone Still”, I’m exploring these possibilities on film. by @jemeka1

We are so close. We have two days to raise our final $1500 for our short film NOT NOTHING.

Because Kickstarter is all-or-nothing, if we don’t reach our goal by Monday. We won’t receive any of the funds pledged.

At its core, this project is a profound expression of legacy, love and our belief that we don’t have to wait to tell and fund our own stories.

If you’ve been thinking about contributing, now is the time. And if you’ve already supported us, please share!

Two days. Join the team and help us bring this film home together.
