Me and Christopher discuss if learning the basics of coding is still beneficial. My thought is yes…at least for right now.

Have you used Meta Muse yet? If not, why?
I started using it recently and it’s better than I expected. I’m not going to give it access to everything but I’ll give it a few things and see how it goes.
I already like that it sends me messages on things it believes I would want. Thinking one step ahead is helpful. by @jemir.martinez

Why you must learn AI in today’s world. You can choose not to learn it but you will be left behind, quickly. The technology changes so fast that what you know now will be old next week.

College students, stay curious and build that portfolio of apps you have built online. Create experiences to talk about in an interview. by @jemir.martinez

I recorded this last week and forgot to post it.

Anyways, I will be on my first podcast all because I sent a cold email and received a response back. Don’t sit back and wait for things to fall in your lap. Create opportunities for yourself.

Amazing time last night speaking @georgiatech on “How to Get the Internship.” The students asked amazing questions throughout the night. @gt_bisye thank you for allowing us the opportunity to come in. @microsoft always does an amazing job giving back to college students. Thanks to all the speakers on the panel last night.
College students are really worried about going into the workforce, rightfully so. Hopefully the wisdom we shared helped them take a different perspective. taken in Georgia Tech University by @jemir.martinez

Shopify Advanced plan is $399/month. I rebuilt the storefront in a weekend on a $20/month AI tool @lovable.dev

Then I hit the wall. Automated import duties, lower card processing rates aren’t on the site. All of that is what the $399/month actually buys.

What tool can you rebuild yourself to save some money? #lovable #nocode #techsales by @jemir.martinez

For years, my Sunday evenings belonged to work.

Two hours. Every week. Figuring out what moved, what was stuck, who I was waiting on.

I’d been using AI on it for a long time. Paste something in, ask for a summary, copy it into my notes. Two hours became ninety minutes. I felt like a power user.

Then I noticed something uncomfortable: I was still doing all of it. I was pasting. I was deciding what mattered. AI was just typing faster than me.

So one weekend I stopped asking it questions and wrote it a job description instead. Here’s what you look at. Here’s what good looks like. Here’s what you never do.

I didn’t get smarter that weekend. I didn’t learn a new language. I stopped ASKING and started ASSIGNING.

That’s the talk I gave yesterday at 404 Tech Summit, inside Microsoft. “From User to Builder.”

The argument: for basically the entire history of this industry, the hard part was building the thing. That’s why “can you build it” was the gate on every good idea any of us ever had. That part just got dramatically easier.

Which means the scarce thing is no longer building. It’s knowing what’s worth building and having the nerve to go build it before somebody hands you a title that says you’re allowed to.

If you can write a good job description, you can build a useful agent.

Your move: what’s one boring thing you do over and over that you wish you never had to do again? That’s your first agent. Put it in the comments, I’ll tell you how I’d build it. taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @jemir.martinez
