This past week, ComEd filed a lawsuit against Vista Medical Center East for the second time in two years.

“Why isn’t the power just…turned off? There is an enormous amount of goodwill extended to hospitals because, rightfully so, no one wants patients to suffer or essential healthcare services to be disrupted because a hospital owner has failed to pay its bills.”

On January 21, 2026, she left home for a deployment to the Middle East.

One hundred eighty-three days later, she’s home.

I couldn’t be more proud of this kiddo and the person she has become. Welcome home, Lil! 🩵

While we celebrate her safe return, I can’t forget the service members who are still deployed, serving far from their families.

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, August 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Independence Grove. We’ll be celebrating Lil’s homecoming, giving her all the hugs, and we’d love for you to join us. by @jenbcrna
