Art things I’ve done since arriving in Ireland…

1. Saw the Ana Mendieta exhibit @tate

2. Made a video about children’s co-curation programs including the one with the Colville Tribe @still_museum

3. Started sketching for some new metal work of my own, including this one inspired by a mushroom in Ireland

4. And ideas for metal and fiber pieces inspired by the coal breakers from my childhood in the NE PA coal region taken in Cork by @jenjf

Btw, this is the private patient price list at my new doctor in Ireland. Amazing what happens when healthcare isn’t for profit, isn’t it? by @jenjf

Working on some sewing projects while I’m settling in here…finishing up a Bargello needlepoint pillow cover, then onto a Korean pojagi patchwork curtain. #sewing #pojagi #handmade #stitching #bargello by @jenjf

A gorgeous day in Cork, can almost imagine I’m in Italy it’s so warm (but nothing wrong with this glorious Irish summer we’re having! Sure, global warming, etc., but have to enjoy what we can, right?) taken in Good Day Deli by @jenjf

Set up for yoga at my new house! Not the same as @resilientsoulyoga, but almost.

@onelungyogi has created such a beautiful space there and, even more, a true community. I’ve done yoga off and on (mostly off, tbh) and the last 1-1/2 years I’ve had the most consistent practice I ever have while at the studio.

Yoga used to be something where I focused on accomplishment, getting into the “perfect” posture, comparing myself to others. Studying with teachers like @katie.miller.kntm and @mandie_schake and @authenticallymeyoga really changed my practice. Now I think about “how do I want to feel in my body?”and how to the yogic concept of ahimsa, non harm, to myself and others. @amoritaspurpose helped me embrace meditation and how it can transform. I’m no longer at the studio, but taking everyone and everything with me to my new home. by @jenjf

I’m officially in Ireland! Somehow managed to wrangle my giant luggage from the airport to the train. Much to do to settle in but the weather is perfect and it’s amazing to finally be here! by @jenjf

Well, I guess it’s official now! I just booked a flight for July 21st to move to Ireland! 🇮🇪

Still waiting on my husband’s residency permit, and for our house to sell, but I’m finally going!

Baby’s first tattoo! 😂 Finding beauty through pain, transformation, blah blah blah. But seriously, felt like the thing to do to commemorate how far I’ve come and where I’m going (Grad school! Ireland! Art!) @liana_joy_tattoo by @jenjf
