Oops, neglecting Insta duties again. Here’s a lovely one from back in July; a chance to visit Somerset at the very lush n green bursting height of summer, thanks to @fthtsi. Documenting chef @merlin_johnson taking his famous @thepharmacybruton culinary service out into the wild with a @pharmacyfieldkitchen in his Bruton neighbourhood, cooking for close friends and the local community.

The boy does know how to put on a feast for the eyes, and not just the tum. Veryyyy pretty. Thank you for the comission @louwidlbr by @jennafoxton

Guysss! Big. I’m posting on Instagram.

OK, but actually quite big... @ottolenghi. In his very own home kitchen. That’s right. Ottolenghi in his freshly refurbished, custom-colourful, beautifully functional kitchen. I have to admit, I was quite taken by how surprisingly modest it was. When you’re told you’re heading to the home of one of the world’s most influential chefs, you imagine a huge ol lavish kitchen.

Instead, it was simple and perfectly formed, with the bright, playful hand-painted tiles by @gilles_cecilie making the space feel deeply personal. It was a joy to watch Ottolenghi cook (with inner monologue repeatedly saying omg omg omg) while chatting about the individual personal references to his children hidden throughout the tile paintings. Such a joyous space.

As if that wasn’t enough, the gent/legend went and fed us what he’d cooked: the tomato, chard and spinach dish from Simple. A recipe I’ve made many times myself, but to have it cooked by the man himself?

Dead.

Feels a tiny bit cruel to drop these mid-December while it’s absolutely chucking it down outside… oops. However @peligoni have just released their big rebrand which has been a year in the making and I was fortunate to be on board with.

Such a dream job to be part of and I’m really grateful for the trust they put in me to help bring their new vision to life. The brief was simply: Summer!! In all its barefoot, sunburnt-nose, salty-skin, damp-swimsuit glory. yum.

It was an intense week (in the best way), a total highlight, and made even better by the loveliest team of people. @harriet.baylis gets a big thank you for really making this work!

Sotiris Xeni and Nicola Mehaffey of @_arte.house at their Cornwall home, photographed for @fthtsi.

A quaint, art-filled world in itself. Every surface had something: paintings, ceramics, little treasures obsessively collected.

I was a lil scared of knocking something over … casually squeezing past Lanyons, Wallises and Nicholsons with my camera gear.

Easily one of my favourite days of the year so far was spent with Molly and all her rescued bees, documenting them for @positivenewsuk.

I was so drawn in by the bees and how they went about their days - bustling in and out of the hives, the way they constantly check on each other, or some just having moments to themselves, just doing their thing. I could watch them for hours. Molly has really worked hard to care and understand what they need and how they shape the land around them.

There was something so so grounding about being in the middle of that constant, gentle hum on a gorgeous glowy afternoon. Loved it.

By the way if you’re Cornwall/South Devon and come across bees that need removing - @bees_off is your gal. They’ll go on to have such an upgrade. by @jennafoxton

I’ve been told off for not posting often enough. Fair. So I’m going with the approach of share more, care less - if that makes sense.
