I don't know who needs to hear this but stop turning your trilogy into a 10+ book series.

Seriously.

I promise I will still read your books if you write a new series or even a stand alone.

There is nothing that I hate more than a filler book 🥴😅 by @jenncanread

Seriously, does anyone have any recommendations for books similar to Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy.

It's been a few months and I'm still thinking about it. I think it's the melancholic feeling mixed with a strong tie to nature that just made me absolutely obsessed.

Blood Over Bright Haven by ML Wang.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Goodness me, I knew I was going to enjoy this book and Wang delivered!

This was such a poignant book about oppression, sexism and the lengths that institutions will go to for power in a corrupt world.

This was both heartbreaking and realistic even though it was set in a fantasy world the themes and lessons are so applicable to todays world.

I have been thinking about this review for a long time and th longer I sit with it the more I realise that her character work in this book was incredible and a minor character was so strong and left such a lasting impact. I could write an essay on one particular character but alas, I can't go into it without spoilers. 😅

There were soooo many quoteable passages in this book too - these types of books always stick with me for the longest time.

💌 QOTD: Have you read any ML Wang books? by @jenncanread
