MOODY SUNDAY STACK || 🖤

QOTD - is aesthetic important to you on booksta?

I am seeing so many posts lately about “who needs aesthetic”… and that’s cool if you don’t want it. But why is it being said? What prompts people shit on accounts who have aesthetics? Does having a pretty aesthetic make me less of a reader, or love books less than an account who doesn’t want to do an aesthetic?

Let me tell you about my aesthetic and why it’s important to me and my space

1. It lets me express myself creatively. I have always been into art & design. Making posts look pretty is something I love to do and absolutely does not take away from bookish content!

2. In a way, it brands my account. It shows who I am. You see posts pop up on your feed and you know who they’re from. I know I do from other account.

3. You can absolutely have a gorgeous aesthetic with minimal props. Mine? A 1x1m piece of plaid from Spotlight, a chopping board from Kmart, a fejka from IKEA and my iPhone filters. That is literally it.

So please let me reiterate, just be kind…

NEON STACK || 💛🧡💚🩷

QOTD - are you a bright or moody colour kind of person?

I’m definitely a moodier sort of vibe so can you believe I have enough neon books to make a stack! Eeeeee so cool! 🤭

These last few days have been a bit of a struggle. I started feeling unwell on Friday and it’s just not let up yet. I don’t know if it’s a bug or pure exhaustion & burnout. I was in bed by 830 last night 🫠

It’s honestly the worst week to get sick too as I have so much to do at work by Friday, before we start another huge project next week!

Do you ever struggle to find that balance or what you want to do vs what you should do? I want to work to keep up but I should also probably just stop and let my body rest. I’m just not one who usually stops 😩

Anyway, enough of my sob story! I hope you’re all having a healthier week than me and that it’s being kind to you 🥰🫶🏼
