@bronzelens...what can I say except for THANK YOU truly from the deepest part of my heart and soul. Thank you for recognizing our film and loving and supporting. The platform you’ve created for independent filmmakers is truly a blessing. 🙏🙏🙏. Last but not least, @joeanthonystudios, I couldn’t have taken on this role without the training at the studio. Joe, you have taught me to not be a better actor but rather to practice to be a better person-to practice empathy. You’ve taught me not to ‘act’ but rather to ‘be’. Thank you 🙏. We as actors don’t do what we do for awards or accolades, but rather bc it feeds our soul. But to be recognized for it is truly humbling. Thank you once again 🙏❤️ Now....back to work! by @jennekang

It’s taken me a couple of days to come off this high (Truth be told, I keep glancing at it making sure the name hasn’t changed on it 🙈). I’ll spare you the video of me being an absolute blubbering bumbling idiot on stage, but I do have to properly say my “thank you”’s. @cswanson44 thank you for giving me this opportunity and taking a chance on me. Without your vision and brilliance, this all would not be possible. Thank you so much for being such the quintessential leader filled with drive, humility and compassion that I strive to be. @pattikgill ...what a story to tell. What healing you’re bringing to so many across the world through the power of your story 🙏 Thank you, Patti. Thank you for trusting and allowing me to play your mother which I’m sure wasn’t easy. @genia718 you make things happen, lady~. Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! @itsjasonweaver without you, there would be no BlacKorea. Your undeniable talent brought such depth and grit, every time you’re on screen, everyone falls silent. @jossieharris your lightheartedness, warm, and sweet soul was not only a character, but I came to find out truly a part of who you are (I promise to call you back tomorrow!) @miss_poundcakes Ms. Pearl was the safe haven for many in BlacKorea, including myself-thank you 🙏. @bella.gill @lincoln gill-such talent as yours can’t be taught, thank you for fearlessly diving head first into it with me, I love you to the end ❤️. brucefcole I remember a time in my life when I asked, “a DP matters?” Oh, how far I’ve come....and oh how little I knew.... thank you, Bruce. Thank you for all those days and sleepless nights, folded up like a piece of origami paper getting certain shots, thank you 🙏 🙏. @nigeria912 your performance brought the pain of my past back for a split second, but that just means you did exactly what you needed to do, thank you 🙏 @tylaanneharris your silent presence throughout some parts of the film, was heard LOUD and clear. You brought back the memories of my childhood best friend who always had my back, thank you for that. There are so many more people, but they’d probably kick me off IG.......To be continued.... by @jennekang

Yep, it’s a true story… And this only scratches the surface.

Would you rather read it or watch it?

The Belmont. The place that raised me. The place where I learned so much about myself and made some lifelong friendships and memories. The place that gave me permission to be who I was. I’ve had some of the best coworkers and friends working here. And now….its closing its doors at the end of the month and I have a myriad of emotions running through me. Dylan, though I never worked for you—thank you, thank you so much for everything 🙏. Thank you for always being so kind and forgiving every time I was such a lil’ sh!t, I know I wasn’t easy 🙏🙏. If you’re in LA, come by, you won’t regret it, I promise. Whether you’re having a soda water with a lime wedge or taking a tequila shot through a bar straw (IYKYK), I can almost guarantee you, you’ll hear the best stories 🥹 Thanks, Belmont—I’ll never forget you ❤️

‘Meet me at The Belmont’
(I don’t know how many times I’ve said that phrase 😭)

2004-2010 Belmont crew (and by ‘crew’, I not only mean ppl who’ve worked here, I mean everyone who hung out here during these years) —let’s pull up ❤️

I get it. I really get it.
This past weekend I stepped on to a stage for the first time in my life….and THE HIGH 🫪🤯
I’ve never done stage acting and decided to dive head first into this absolutely incredibly and insanely fun showcase ‘Around The Clock’ when asked to jump in by my one of my best friends, Becky. Was I crazy? Yes, apparently. Was I nervous? Absofreakinglutely (…until Kristen opened that door). That “theatre high” that I’ve only heard people talk about, wow, I know what you mean now.

What an incredible honor to share the stage with these truly inspiring and talented artists—writers, actors, directors 💕🎭 @roguemachinetheatre thank you for letting me be a part of YOU~ 🤗🙏🫶 @beckivelli what would I do without you? 👯 Always challenging me to grow, thank you 🙏💕🫶 (while having the time of our lives! 🤗🥰)

@roguemachinetheatre is somethin else—The writing. The actors. The directing. The production. I’ll definitely be watching anything and everything coming out of Rogue. Thank you, Michael, Tracie, Kristen, Nick and Eva Rose!!! 🥰 for giving me the opportunity to play and learn from you guys!!!

PS-clearly I still didn’t know which way to walk across stage after our bows AFTER we rehearsed it 😱😱 by @jennekang

K-POPS! premiered last week in Los Angeles and it was a time!!! 🤗

This is the first production that took me overseas and for many reasons (that’s for another day) I’m extremely grateful 🙏. It’s always a little daunting when coming onto a new project bc you don’t know what to expect. The tone usually is always set and starts from the top and let me just say I have never felt more at ease, welcomed and loved. I remember sitting in my make-up chair when @thejeespot walked in. She made a b-line straight for me and basically knelt down, and in the sweetest voice introduced herself, welcomed me and thanked me for being part of the project. I quickly learned it wasn’t just for show, it’s inherently who she is. Thank you, Jee, I learn so much from you 🙏🫶🥰. And then there’s @iamcathyshim. Cathy cast me in a short when I first moved to LA many moons ago and when I learned she was part of this project, I was ecstatic~. Cathy, what a beautiful and kind soul-you’re lucky if you get the chance to know her. Cathy, what a beautiful reunion and I loved being part of this sweet project together 🫶🥰

This entire cast, though I didn’t work with every single one of them, we all bumped into each other at some point and it felt like running into family 🩷

Our writers @khailaamazan and the @anderson._paak along with our producers @dumbfoundead @stampedeventures @eststudios_official did such an amazing job tirelessly putting this project together and of course, we can’t leave out our CD’s @clckcasting for bringing all of us actors together 🫶🩷

My gosh, my brother playing my husband 🤣, working with the best cast, having the time of my life shooting, down to the premieres and after parties—WHAT A RIDE! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! for taking me along—I didn’t want it to end! 🫶🥰

PS- @unforettable thank you SO much for coming to support, you have no idea what it meant to me—love you so much 🫶🥰

@beckivelli—my security blanket, my sister, my best friend—I don’t know what I’d do in life without you—thank you for everything ❤️

Dads, grab your sons! You won’t want to miss this limited release!!!

And to answer your question —YES, @anderson._paak is dope! 🤗 by @jennekang
