broker’s open today! highlights on the boards:

creamy avocado hummus (the brightest green batch yet haha!)
housemade sea salted caramel sauce (i kept a half cup for me, I’m hooked)
ginger rosemary peach preserves (an acupuncturist gave them to me and they’re magical ✨)
lemon & orange peel & garlic stuffed olives (w lots of extra lemon peel)
orange zest & red chile infused honey (lil bit spicy! 🥵)
inky black seedlesss grapes 🍇 in the most luscious cluster I’ve ever seen
pillowy ribbon clouds of prosciutto

time. ❤️‍🔥 under. ❤️‍🔥 tension. ❤️‍🔥 excited to celebrate 10 YEARS of PLNK today w a bitten charcoot popup from 10.30a-12.30p!

grateful for more than two years as part of the PLNK team.

i used to be afraid of the shakes. now i welcome them as a sign of life, of growth. the slower we go, the more my mind dives deep into the tension, sitting with the discomfort rather than rushing or avoiding. now i face it head on - in a cute set, with a badass playlist & surrounded by the most incredible community.

i also love hand-making and offering my charcuterie mini-boxes for the incredible team, clients & friends i’ve met along the way. 🖤

happy Tulsa Tough Weekend!!! 🌷✨🍑🌸🧀 I will be @riversidestudiotulsa on Sunday fr noon-6p volunteering w our friends doing Goff Fest!! Always a good time to come down off the hill, check out cool architecture (& bathrooms/drinks/ice cold air!!!), & support @tulsaspotlighttheatre before heading back into the fray!

I’ll be prepping fresh tasty treats from the farmer’s market tmrw so you can build your own charcoot on Sunday!! Pick 8 ingredients & I’ll build it for ya in a cutesy to-go box. I’ll probably go overboard because you’re cute, $18 🫦🫶

i needed a creative home, so i asked the universe (my friends)… and it handed me WOMPA. ✨

i’ve been drawn to the weird brilliance of this vision for years. a post-industrial Alice in Wonderland for artists to roost, perform, create & play? YES. 🙌

so i’m thrilled (and humbled) to say i am stepping in as this wild, living organism’s general manager.

WOMPA is a whimsical, fully equipped playground for art, movement, collaboration & experimentation.

do you have a gallery idea? a pop-up? comedy set? tiny concert? poetry ritual? movement class? fever-dream project you don’t know where to put?

bring it here, pardner.

we make space for you at WOMPA. (ya so like there are also super-rad offices, a podcast studio, the Black Box Theater, two art galleries & badass venue spaces where you can host anything from a silent meditation retreat to the All-American Rejects tour.)

i’m quietly nesting into one of my favorite lofts at WOMPA; it’ll be my new GM homebase & @bitten.by.jennie laboratory… you’re so welcome to come by, tour, dream & scheme. this next chapter feels electric.

this year i began to build a dream i was too afraid to talk about for years.

it’s a lil project called @bitten.by.jennie 🫦™️ a charcuterie + events business, blooming out of my lifelong passions for food, connection & remembering. (it’s also an altar to my grandma, who showed me how to play in the kitchen & always brought a stack of books with her when she came to visit 📚😉)

through decades of journalism + restaurant work, i’ve sustained myself on words & fruit, asking & serving. holding space with conversation & a really good dip. bitten is me. 🤍

the business is growing, becoming herself. each board & event is a practical magic, like alchemy, turning what i have into an offering for you: art, snacks, warmth, intention. cheese. nourishment & play.

after decades on this earth, i know i love you & i will bring you a treat. 🍓🫶

this isn’t a before-and-after. ❤️‍🔥
It’s a death and rebirth,
again
and again
and again.

Lagree taught me how to stay.
how to stay slow in my discomfort.
i didn’t know before that our fascia holds what we brace against our whole lives:
grief, fear, the breath we hold.

PLNK showed me how to breathe into the stillness. to stay quiet w my painful shadows, rather than run away or numb out.
i found the weird pleasure in slipping slowly into an escalator lunge. in trusting my balance. in finding safety inside my own body, for the first time, maybe ever.

i am stronger after a year with PLNK.
but more than that, i feel present in my body.
and I’m so so grateful.

my body isn’t a project; it’s a portal 🧿✨
