A Douglas Street Campus Collaboration we are so proud of!

Textile artist Jenny Monks and composer/film artist David Ian Bickley have collaborated to create a captivating short film. This project digitally maps AR elemental film images onto student textile creations, seamlessly transitioning fashion from the sewing room to the digital realm.

The theme, ELEMENTS, inspired the staff and students of Douglas St Campus in Cork, Ireland, to unite their creative talents. They produced a film artwork featuring intriguing headpieces designed and crafted by students. Drawing inspiration from iconic designers like Alexander McQueen, Coco Chanel, Iris Van Herpen, and John Galliano, the students skilfully manipulated reclaimed materials, transforming raw elements into wearable sculptural accessories. All of this was achieved under the creative direction of Jenny Monks.
