1958 Tweed Covered Fender 5G9 Tremolux w a single 12” speaker (Jensen) - as some of you who follow me know, I have a 1958 deluxe 5E3, and so I can say a little bit about the differences. The cabinet on this model is bigger and the lows are bigger in the room, but the circuit is different. It’s not just a 5E3 with trem. The power tubes are oriented differently, I have to look it up, but I think they are not biased the same. Somehow, this squeezes out two more watts. Now on an amp with only high cut for tone and no bass control, extra wattage is going to go to the low end. So you have low end going to the speaker, you have low end in the cabinet, and you have more headroom. An RC Boost in front of my 5E3 immediately pushes it to roar a compressed toothy growl. With this one here, you’re going to get more level you’re going to retain clarity. It’s going to sit differently in a mix or in a live band sound. These things have been sleepers for decades. But now everybody is catching on. my HEARTY congratulations to anyone reading this who owns one and uses it. High five. these lovely photographs are this particular example our living in the beautiful country of Australia. vintageelectricguitars #vintageelectricguitars in Perth. They report that this one has its original transformers. That’s pretty sweet. Happy tweed Tuesday. #tweedtuesday #fenderamp by @jensenbell

1969 Gibson ES-150 DC N. #gibsones150 flipped over and converted to left-handed. For me. My guitars are left-handed. Because I am. Born that way actually. I found this on sale with holes drilled in the top stuffed with some kind of insulation and the wrong pick ups. The wrong tuning machines. So basically a project. But that’s OK because I wanted a 3 inch deep, hollow body and I was looking at a lot of different things. Of course this turns out to be a classic vintage Gibson. The neck is like butter. I put some flat wound strings on it just to decide how much work I wanted to put into it and it played like a dream even without converting the bridge. The bridge is still right handed. Filled up some of the holes and had two different repair guys get it together for me. One is the legendary David Neely and the other is the up-and-coming, Eric Chaz of Eric‘s guitar shop in Van Nuys. All told it cost less than a new Chinese top quality, arch top or I used Korean one. In other words, because I knew where to take it, I got a crazy good deal. And now I practice every day a kind of music I will never master, but I will always improve my playing. Then I go back to playing swing and blues and rockabilly Gibsons between the years 1935 and 1969 are magical. They just are. It’s the wood I think. But it’s also the craftsmanship. When you’re in LA, call me over to play rhythm for you. lol #guitarsofinstagram by @jensenbell

1964 Fender Vibroverb 40w 1x15 guitar amp! #guitaramp #amptalk #fendervibroverb yes, the great Chicago Music Exchange has put on offer something rare and wonderful. I would love to have this be the second half of my main set up. But not at the prices they charge. Simply because I would be paranoid just taking it out to regular gigs. I mean, I suppose it’s not as bad as a tweed Bandmaster. Lol. This thing is lovely. And of this particular one, CME says, “Speaker Configuration: 1x15

Speaker Details: Original 15” JBL D130F

Wattage Range: 40-99 Watts

Power Tubes: 6L6 / 5881

Tube Details: 2 x 6L6, 1 x 12AX7 1 x GZ34, 2 x 12AT7, 3 x 7025

Modifications/Repairs: The amp has been recapped and the power cable has been replaced with a three-prong cord. The screen grid resistors have been replaced. The grille cloth has been replaced.” 🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🫡 by @jensenbell

1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard, “Goldtop.” @guitartraderstokyo posted this stunning example of holy Grail solidbody goodness. Ya just can’t beat this thing unless, of course, you have a 1959 with the big frets and the Sunburst top. But let’s look at one of those later— for now, guitar traders Tokyo says of this,, “This is a Goldtop Les Paul Standard equipped with original PAF pickups.
Produced for only a little over a year, its production numbers were far lower than those of Burst Les Pauls from late 1958 onward,
making it an extremely rare and hard-to-find model even within Gibson’s golden era.

This genuine vintage piece boasts a cool look with attractive weather checking that complements its gold color, and it’s in excellent condition with a great overall appearance.

Frets are replaced with the original size.
Pot Date = 134738”

How cool is that? I love to see a guitar that is at home in a collectors cabinet, but can also be played at a gig and will make the difference. This is one of those. This is the rich professional who’s still playing and has one. #pedaltalk well I guess I have been ultimately affected by the Nashville guitar pedal tradition. If you had told me when I was 17 that my favorite pedal would be a boost and my second favorite pedal would be an overdrive that doesn’t get very dirty and you have to be careful when you play a PAF into it, I would’ve told you you were crazy and gone back to my fuzz and wah. But those Nashville cats know what they’re talking about. Especially with Telecasters and Stratocasters, these pedals “add another channel” to my vintage amp sonically. I met a Sweet left-handed guitar player out in West Covina, born in 56 I am guessing, he’s had a long career playing music with great people. He too is in love with boost and is relying on that heavily. So he sold me his ODS for a really good price. Thank you, man. I’ve got a real Nobles and I’ve got a J. rocketT GTO overdrive and a NUX that do the Tom Bukovac thing. I also have a custom-made one handmade for me by the great John Kilgore that I adore. But this one just goes a half a mile further. #vemuram #vemuramods1 Tim Pierce agrees. He has three of them on his latest board.😇👌☀️ the white pedal here, #xoticeffects RCBooster it’s like no other clean boost I have ever experienced. It takes its place next to my other favorites like the fat boost FB-1, and the vertex Landau boost, as a tone shaper I don’t want to live without by @jensenbell

7/2026 - Been trying to create an ability to compose, record and teach, and do voice work all from my new compound. It’s going slow. So I’ve been busying myself with the joy of putting pedalboards together. I build them and then I think I can do better, and I tear them down and I make improvements. And put them back together. This one feels pretty much done. It exists for the sole purpose of driving amplifiers that are already dirty like my Kitchen-Marshall. Mostly boost. There’s a slap echo. There’s some fuzz. Oh yeah, Sean Michael made a really good lightbulb That sounds like a monster, chewing gum. Vibe clone? Anyway I’m proud of this one. And I’m proud of number four as well which I will post later. Are you guys all working hard and making recordings and playing live? I wanna catch up to you as soon as I can. I am getting some studio work and I’m grateful for that. Apparently I save time for producers. That’s cool! #guitarsofinstagram #guitarpedalboard by @jensenbell

1951 Fender Esquire! 🐣🐤🐣🐥🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🟡🟨🟡 This treasure caught my eye today. It’s so early and it looks heavenly as photographed by @mahars_guitars — always great photos! And a great description, “A 1951 Fender Esquire Blackguard - a cornerstone of solidbody electric guitar history and one of the purest expressions of Leo Fender’s original vision. As Fender’s first production solidbody, the Esquire distills everything down to the essentials: a slab body, a single bridge pickup, and a voice that helped shape the sound of modern music. Early Blackguard examples like this are revered for their feel, tone, and historical importance, and they remain among the most sought-after vintage Fenders in existence.” 🐣🟡🟨🐥🐣🟡🟨🐥🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤 this uplifted my spirit today! by @jensenbell

1959 Les Paul TV Junior posted recently by @wellstrungguitars and the account described this treasure perfectly: “This TV Junior is the epitome of what every player is looking for! Double-cut Juniors are always in demand, and this one features many of the desirable specs that people look for, including a full neck, light weight, a screaming P-90, and plenty of vibey playwear. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that all of us here at WSG, one by one, have seen this guitar for the first time and gone: “That’s sick.” It just has that look and feel. Despite heavy wear, this guitar remains original. We can’t put it down, and we know that its next owner will feel the exact same way. We feel confident that this TV Junior is about to make someone very, very happy!” 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝Amen to that! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 #Guitare #guitarra #Guitarre #Gitarr #Gitaar chitarra chitarre Kytara kytarysk Kitara ギター instaguitar guitarsofinstagram by @jensenbell

I went a little crazy on the topic of pedal boards today over on my personal channel /jensenbellmusic (link in bio). No way I can deny being influenced by uncle Larry, right? Boards can be used for your weekly gigs they can be used for sudden surprise, teaching or playing opportunities. Boards can be used to provide everything for a clients at the recording studio. Boards can be used to re-create an album for a band you are sideman in this year. Boards change, and are designed for different uses. So I’m playing with it all. And I’m learning so much. And we could learn together if you want by having conversations about the challenges and the delights of creating different guitar pedal platforms for our needs and uses. We can even talk about no-amplifier usages. Headphones. Bedroom sounds that don’t bother the neighbors. All of it. I think these are good conversations to have. And I’ve learned a lot from you guys too. And of course, some of my friends make these things and I’m marvel at it all. But my philosophy these days is what helps people? What helps people learn? What helps people feel happy at their wedding or at a show or under their headphones? How do we help people with music? I think this is part of it. What do you think? #pedalboardtalk by @jensenbell

1963 Gretsch 6129 Silver Jet aka “sparkle jet” with my raised potted pickup mod and just a master volume and selector switch.. strung Lefty. It’s been mine since the 80s. I’m proud of all the things that I’ve done with it. Punk, rockabilly, straight ahead, rock ‘n’ roll, power pop, and some very good country… The vintage style. It did a great job on that… I haven’t pulled it on stage in quite some time but I play it a lot. I keep changing the strings thinking about going from the 70s Gretsch adjust-o-matic bridge back to a 60s bridge. Maybe if I found one from the era. But it ain’t broke so I really don’t need to fix it. Right now it’s resting on the new couch that I purchased for the Jensen Bell headquarters. 2026 ✨✨✨✨ #Guitar #gearJunkie #Guitars #guitarCollector #guitarplayer GuitarJunkie guitarAddict guitarporn geartalk gearporn amptalk GuitarNerd Guitare guitarra Guitarre Gitarr Gitaar chitarra chitarre Kytara kytarysk Kitara ギター instaguitar guitarsofinstagram
