It’s been such an incredible experience seeing people’s reactions to our short and to our feature adaptation pitch, and to get to do this w my creative polycule @virtuallyceline and @zucchinifred & celebrate w our star @itmeolive who made it out for the premiere! 🥹

Shout out to @stevenshunlee and @taniasarah.m for being the absolute best and including us in your block and the Frontières Shorts to Features Lab 🥲

The trailer is here.

In a future where citizens are RESET at 65, a young woman reluctantly embarks on a journey with her brother and newly reset six-year-old mother— one that begins to break a cycle neither of them could escape alone.

Premiering in Official Competition at Fantasia International Film Festival on July 28th at 4:20 PM.

Many of you (no one) have been asking why we made RESET.

The two of us met at Yale and became close friends despite coming from very different worlds. Between us, we’ve worked in healthcare, AI, VR, film, and tech, but we kept coming back to the same question: what happens when the roles that define a family begin to collapse?

Both of us grew up around mental illness, inherited trauma, and the quiet weight of caregiving. We wanted to explore those questions through the lens of a grounded sci-fi film~ using a speculative world to examine something deeply human. RESET became our way of asking whether the cycles we inherit are inevitable, or whether they can finally be broken.

Over the past year, we’ve shared little glimpses from set. Here are a few more: some behind-the-scenes moments, our DP Charles lovingly reminding us how to do our jobs, and finally, our incredible crew.

We can’t wait to properly introduce everyone.

More very soon 👀

We’re excited to share that RESET has been selected for the Frontières Shorts-to-Features Lab!

RESET began as a short film, but from the very beginning, we imagined it as a much larger story. It’s a deeply personal project for both of us, and being selected for a program dedicated to helping short films grow into features feels especially meaningful.

We’re honored to be one of only five projects selected this year and grateful to the Frontières and @fantasiafestival teams for their support (thank you @taniasarah.m !)

Frontières is an international genre-film co-production market and development platform presented by the Fantasia International Film Festival in partnership with the Marché du Film at Cannes.

More soon.
