File this under: “I saw it, I wanted it, I made it myself.”

The inspo was some random girl on TT.
Did some digging & found a brand selling them for $120/pair.

So I ran to the store & bought some supplies.
Made my own for under $30!

And yes, I did in fact make 2 more pairs with raw onyx & quartz chunks on two very different style sunnies. 😎

Curious if you’d wear these?! by @jess.glazer

🎞️ Found in the drafts!

Since filming this about 7 weeks ago…

… I chopped my hair off

… my daughter turned two

… I did in fact create the logo, fill in the bio, & began creating content for the new page (the page I bought the domain & took the IG/TT handles for almost TWO years ago)

I suspect the new page will be up & running by next week! 🥳

Thanks for all the sabbatical love, business evolution support, & incredible conversations that spark so many ideas. I’m so grateful for you and this journey. 🫶🏻 by @jess.glazer

📌 Re: sharing my daughters face online

I want the videos. The mundane little moments. Our walks, adventures, crafts, trips… all the pieces of childhood I know I’m going to miss someday.

So yes, I have 30,000 pics & videos of her by breakfast. 😂

But, when it comes to content… I don’t want her face (or even her name) to be apart of it.

Not my everyday content.
Not my brand.
Not my future business.

So lately I’ve been treating it like a creative challenge:
🤔 How do I document motherhood without documenting her?

And honestly… I’m kind of obsessed with what I’m learning.

It’s stretching me to become a better content creator & creative director!!!

I’ve even started keeping a “shot list” so I don’t get home and realize every clip I took is unusable…. If you know me at all, this is NOT shocking in the very least! 🤭

There are a lot of reasons I chose not to share her face online & I’m happy to talk more about the why (and what I’m learning about capturing childhood differently) if that’s something you’d want me to share here.

But for now…

I’m curious where other mamas land on this?!?

❓Do you share your kids online, keep them completely private, or are you somewhere in the middle? by @jess.glazer

Turns out 42 is less “I finally have life figured out” and more “wait… we’re ALL just winging this?!” 😂

TBH, I think 22-year-old me would be shocked by some of the things I’ve figured out… and absolutely baffled by the things I haven’t…

… like “get it together, Glazer”

And apparently there is no age where someone hands you the manual and says, “Congrats! You’re an adult and you know what you’re doing now.”

Huge oversight, IMO!!! 🙃

Getting the feel that’s just life & actually… oh, how fun?!

Your turn: what did you REALLY think you’d have figured out by now? 👇🏼 by @jess.glazer

🔑 The key to seamless travel with a toddler…
SNACKS!!!

I know all kids are different & trust me, it’s not always smooth.
… Mine is literally missing her nap at the moment & she’s morphing from sweet princess to feral toddler.

But, we’ve done a ton of travel (long road trips, flights, hotels, & Airbnb’s) with her since she was first born and these things really make a big difference.

It’s not about distracting her.
It’s about keeping her comfortable.

Giving her familiarity & stimulation all at once.

✅ Fav blankie & stuffies
✅ Monitor & noise machine
✅ Sheets from home (a must if borrowing hotel crib)
✅ Travel stroller (game changer for big airports)
✅ Books & coloring tools
✅ Stickers, play dough , & sensory toys
✅ Snacks with backup snacks & then more snacks

At the end of the day travel brings a whole myriad of new experiences & challenges.

Give yourself grace. Release control.

Be ok with schedules changing, but also… try to keep a routine (it’s best for everyone).

And try your very best to make every moment (even the mundane waiting around) into magic!!! ✨

At the start of 2025 @mike.derose had never really run more than 2 miles & honestly, he thought he was built differently bc he hated running so much… his words, not mine. 😜

In Feb 2025 he turned to running as an outlet. Just 2 months after, he decided he wanted to run the NYC 2025 marathon.

A month later he hired a coach & began intense training.

After crushing NYC he kept his training up with his run bestie, but he’s been battling with a horrible knee injury for months & training has taken a major hit.

😳 TBH, we didn’t even make the final call that we were coming to Chicago until 2 days before our flight.

Today proved to be an extreme challenge for him both physically & mentally…

But, he finished & we couldn’t be more proud!!!! 🥳

Plus we got to see him MULTIPLE times on the race route… such a special thing to experience.

You’ll see him coming towards us around like 17. 🏃

26.2 miles of grit, determination, & perseverance.
26.2 miles of sweat, biofreeze, & gel packets.
26.2 miles of cheering & support from incredible spectators.

And for me…

A day with M & our besties… making memories, skipping naps, & eating far too many snacks!

Two 2 yr olds & an 8 week old who absolutely crushed a very long, hot, & overstimulating day. 😍

Today, I’m a proud wife & proud mama!
Today, I’m so grateful for our health!
Today, I’m inspired as hell & excited for what’s next!

If you ever get the chance to watch a marathon, I highly suggest you do… it’s incredibly inspiring to see total strangers pushing themselves & going for their goals! 🥹

Congrats to all the runners & walkers and thank you to the city of Chicago for putting on an amazing event!

💭 If I’m not the “expert” anymore… am I still providing value?

This has been the biggest unlearning lesson for me (on this app) in this particular season.

Uncoupling from who I was before.
Repositioning myself to just be myself.
Not the anti-niche, just… for now, I am the niche.

😵‍💫 A mindf*ck for someone so used to reverse engineering everything to land my “ideal client” in the exact place to join the ever so calculated “offer”.

Everything I did…
Everything I taught…
Everything that worked to bring me so much success…

Those concepts are now tabled.
They’re not inherently wrong, just not right in this season.

Since coming back online in May & constantly posting 7days/week for the last month; I’ve struggled internally with…

🤔 What’s the point?
I guess:

Aside from having a creative outlet, stretching myself, using my voice which helps me find my voice, working the creation ‘n discipline muscle, connecting with amazing women, building a community, working towards bigger future goals, & create space for myself outside of motherhood… something for me…

With every messy post & each “no end goal” share, I’m getting more and more clear in my vision. 🤍

With that… thank YOU for being a part of the last 14 years of me posting on alllllll the platforms under alllllll the handles & alllll the niche/biz changes.

I named my last company The Digital Business Evolution bc I believe we’re always evolving & growing…

Cheers to that babe!!!!

The truth is that almost one year BEFORE I shut my business down, I bought a handful of new domain names & took the coordinating IG handles…

But I never did anything with them.

Why would I?

✔️ I was busy running my successful business. And then I was busy running my successful business with a newborn.

✔️ The pressure to “know” how it all would turn out was too much.

✔️ The uncertainty of not having 100% clarity on the vision was enough not to start.

I’ve held those domains & handles and it wasn’t until recently (nearly 2 years later) that the ideas started flowing in…

… but not for THAT “businesses” per say
… just general ideas that I realized COULD fit perfectly under that brand

Ok Universe, I see you! 👀

So now, I’m sitting with this huge fear.

A weight, a different pressure.
A resistance that I don’t want to fall in the same old trap.

I know exactly how I would coach my old clients or any of my friends around this roadblock… the irony is not lost on me!

💊 So, I’m taking a little bit of my own medicine…

Rather than letting it own me, I’m owning it.

👊🏼 Taking action despite the fear.
👊🏼 Challenging myself to figure out HOW to keep the joy.
👊🏼 Allowing myself to abort mission if needed.

No formal announcement yet & maybe it’s coming IDK.

For now, I’m just enjoying the process of FINALLY giving that 2 yr old IG handle a profile pic & bio!!! 🤩 by @jess.glazer

Somehow my former-teacher brain completely forgot one very obvious thing:

Independent play is a SKILL. 🤯

(I’ll blame that miss on #mombrain )

I spent 8 years as an educator. I know kids learn through modeling, repetition, practice, and slowly building confidence.

And yet somehow I expected my own kid to just… know how to play independently?! 😂

So instead of deciding “she’s just not an independent player,” we’re practicing it…

… One tiny minute at a time.

While I’m proud of our progress & my head is in every parenting book I can find…

Mamas, I want to crowdsource this one. 🙏🏻

If you’ve helped your toddler become a more independent player, what actually worked?
✔️ Routines?
✔️ Specific toys?
✔️ Something you stopped doing?
✔️ A book or podcast that changed how you approached it?

Drop ALL your tips/resources below because I want to learn & I have a feeling a lot of other moms here do too. 👇🏼 by @jess.glazer

Apparently my car caddy has been frozen in time since well… infancy! 😂

Out with the size 2 diapers & teething toys.
In with the fun, developmentally appropriate toddler games.

Toddler moms: what’s the ONE thing you keep in your car that has saved you more than once? And I’m not looking for “extra snacks” or “wipes”… give me the good stuff!!!👇🏼
