25 𝓸𝓯 2025 𝓟𝓽. 1 It’s timeeeee! My top 25 reads of 2025. It was tough to pick what would make the list this year. I read across a variety of genres. I don’t stick to a firm TBR because I’m a huge mood reader. I did, however, read a good chunk of the tentative TBR I had set for this year! Discovering my love for audiobooks has played a huge role in my book consumption this year. Say it with me now… audiobooks are reading! These aren’t in any particular order, but part 1 is focused on my favorite fantasy books/series. (This list doesn’t include any series repeats from 2024). 🐪 The Daevabad Trilogy - S.A. Chakraborty 🗡️ The Knight and The Moth - Rachel Gillig 🖤 The Ashen Series - Demi Winters 🦋 The Crimson Moth Duology - Kristin Ciccarelli 🩸 Empire of the Vampire Trilogy - Jay Kristoff 🕷️ The Eating Woods Trilogy - Keri Lake 🕯️ Nocticadia - Keri Lake 🪞 Hemlock & Silver - T. Kingfisher 💀 Alchemised - SenLinYu 📚 Katabasis - R.F. Kuang 🐺 A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin Honorable Mentions: Forbidden Alchemy - Stacey McEwan The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk - Carissa Broadbent (series included in my 2024 list) What Moves the Dead - T. Kingfisher
Isle of Waiting - G.W. Prouse Rose in Chains - Julie Soto Part two coming tomorrow — can you guess what books will be included?  #top25 #fantasybooks #bookrecs #bookstagram #favoritebooks by @jess_stadler
I am heartbroken to share that our sweet boy Hank crossed the rainbow bridge this morning 🌈 Peacefully at home with saad and I by his side. Making the decision wasn’t an easy one, but Hank’s quality of life has always been a priority - not a life of pain. He was so brave through this cancer journey and because of our friends and community we were able to spend one last Christmas with him, take a roadtrip, and creat special memories 💕 we are forever grateful for everyone’s contributions to the incredible care he received the last 5 months. More shared in the carousel… please read 🥺 by @jess_stadler
Big Sur camping was a vibe… as always ☺️🥹 by @jess_stadler
Making core memories with my favorite human. Hard to believe we met in July nine years ago 🤍 In one day we took a train, sea bus, a regular bus, and a gondola. It was an adventure! We had a really lovely day at Grouse Mountain and ate one of the best dinners we’ve had out in a while 🥹 it was a beautiful day and the top of the mountain was foggy, it was giving ~ twilight ~ vibes. Taking time to slow down, be outside, and be out of LA for a couple of weeks was much needed for both of us. by @jess_stadler
Life lately — June / May 🌞 - went to Lightning in a Bottle - took a quick trip to Mexico - went to visit my family in Alaska - bought a few books at indie book stores 🤭 - hung out with a lot of pups 🐶 - started watching House of The Dragon (peep the necklace hehe) - celebrated summer solstice - finally opened the bottle wine I got in Chile Summer has been lovely. I have been taking it slow. Being intentional. Hanging out with people I love, doing things I love. Letting myself hermit at home when I need to ☺️ I definitely haven’t been capturing enough moments these last few months oops! Ok bye! by @jess_stadler

Spring time proof of life 🌸💐 🌸 it’s ren faire season! My favorite time of year. Went twice and enjoyed every second of it with my fave people! 🌸 returned to lightning in a bottle for another fun weekend of music and art with friends 🌸 I’ve been dog sitting the best doggos ever. My heart is so full when we have dogs staying with us 🌸 went to LA Times festival of books (aka bookchella) for the first time. A book lovers dream, I can’t wait for next year. Life is pretty good right now even though I haven’t been documenting as much of it as I usually do. Im still navigating a lot of change and assessing where I’m at and what I really want for myself as I approach 35 this summer. Hopefully will have more life updates soon. But for now I’m keeping my head down, working, and reading a lot of books ☺️ by @jess_stadler
Life lately 🍒 - got my hair cut and colored - went to LOTR 25 year anniversary candlelight show - my bookshelf is starting to come together! - went to the Cayman Islands with Saad - finally met Avina and Leigh IRL - worked my first book event in New Orleans - ate a lot of beignets and had a tarot reading - walking around silverlake often. - got invited to my first private author event by a publisher - saw monolink with @dumpster.inc @undylan - staying busy dogsitting That’s all for now. Laying low while I navigate some of the changes I’ve been hit with the last 2 months. Feels like a midlife crisis, but I know it’s all for the best 🩷 by @jess_stadler
January has come and gone… it was the longest year ever lol. The year has been off to a rocky start. There were many things I loved about it but it’s pushed me and tested emotionally in ways I wasn’t expecting. I have a lot of big changes coming my way these next couple months — the unknown is scary and I’m not sure what’s next for me but I know I’ll figure it out and I’ll be ok. I always am 🧿 Sometimes the universe just needs to kick you in the ass and push you to the changes you’re needing and you just gotta go with it! The Highlights ✨ Frankenstein Movie exhibit ✨ a weekend in Seattle ✨ rehearsal for Rob’s live show ✨ hit the 50% off hardcover book sale at B&N ✨ stocked up on witchy supplies Glitter Moon ✨ dog sat my bestie Granger ✨ ate good food ✨ reset my altar ✨twilight hoodie delivered (can’t wait to be twins @avina.stgraves 😈) Okay bye! by @jess_stadler
Oct/Nov Archives 🎞️ The months are flying by… here’s proof of life from my last two months! A lot of fun happenings lately. Life has been good and abundant. A lot of socializing with humans and dogs but also a lot of quiet time reading and surpassing my 2025 reading goal! My top 25 books of 2025 roundup is coming at the end of the month. Life update & proof of life 🖤 The months have been flying by… I forget to post and share updates and pieces of my life on here. Life has been good — a few changes, but necessary ones to take a step in the right direction for my future personally and professionally. Striking a balance between the two is never easy in the industry and sometimes you need to listen to what your soul is needing. 🕯️ I’m still managing artists independently. Im starting to explore new avenues for management in music which is scary and diving into the unknown, but I’m ready for a challenge and to get out of my comfort zone. Also… still doing consulting so holler if you’re needing artist consulting. I’m here to help and be your cheerleader. 🕯️ I’m doing A LOT of dog sitting these days which has filled a huge hole in my heart. We miss Hank a lot and this has been a huge boost in morale in the apartment. Saad and I both love all the doggos and we even have a few regulars! 🕯️ Saad and I are doing well! We are busy but thriving and thankful every day to have a partner in life that understands this journey of working in music. We get to support each other in the most exciting ways! 🕯️ I’ve been spending a lot of time with my girls. I honestly have the most incredible group of girlfriends. It’s actually insane… and we all love the same things and do fun shit. Like going to bilbo baggins birthday party and dressing like wenches lmao. 🕯️ Ive been feeding my own creativity and have been suuuuper active in the bookish community on IG and TikTok. I have a whole account dedicated to me yapping about reading… a safe dedicated space to talk about my favorite hobby. It’s scary putting yourself out there, but I love books and if I can encourage a few people to start reading again or enjoy my recommendations, my job is done hehe 🤭 follow me on both platforms @wyrdsorceress Anyway.. thanks for sticking around and reading this. If you want more life updates, keep in touch. And follow my book account if you want good books to read!! K BYE! by @jess_stadler
Proof of life… having a short holiday weekend away visiting my family in Alaska. A long overdue visit. I had to get here before the winter and to catch the Alaska State Fair. Obviously I go to the fair for the food! There are so many good snacks here — fried peaches, corn fritters, crab cakes, funnel cakes, pickled lemonade, and much more! These are some of my all time favorites: * Elote * Corn Fritters * Fried Peaches * Spinach Bread + Brazilian Limeade #alaskastatefair #alaskalife #labordayweekend #fairfood #summertravel by @jess_stadler
