I started this incredible harmonium journey last year. My intention was to use it for my own practice, and I loved the idea of connecting through chanting in our home with Elliot and friends, and our future family.

I wasn’t clear whether it would extend beyond that as it feels like suuch a vulnerable place for me to share from, maybe more so than I’ve ever experienced before, maybe more so than I can handle.

It feels like exposing my heart without any layers of protection. Like standing bare in front of fully clothed people and letting them inspect every detail.

So scary. And also, the further I continue on this journey the stronger the pull to share becomes. Like an edge I’m slowly willing myself to explore.

I recorded this yesterday for you, and for me. It’s some new invocations I’m learning. Fumbles, blocked nose and all.

Perhaps it’s just one share, or maybe it will be the beginning of many 🙏💛 by @jessdadonyoga

Recently I had some photos taken with @warrioroneyoga. They are very beautiful and in some of them I even look like a fancy yoga teacher that does fancy things with her limbs (🤷‍♀️), but this photo is by far my favourite. It’s encapsulates where this practice takes me, somewhere inside that is deeply peaceful and so very loving. It’s why even when I sometimes forget this feeling and get caught up in my humanness, I always eventually return to the practice. It’s why the desire to share it with others still feels so big.

Overjoyed to be sharing more of this magic every Tuesday evening at WO Mornington.

Thank you @_alimayfield for capturing this feeling. by @jessdadonyoga

This week on Home Life Series, we wander through the serene coastal oasis of TWOOBS co-founder, @jessdadonyoga.

From the moment you step foot inside Jess’s Mornington Peninsula beach shack, you're greeted by a flood of natural sunlight and an open space that practically begs you to take a deep, soothing breath. Her home exudes an unmistakable sense of peace and balance, inspired by her love for the outdoors, yoga and nature.

It is these very principles that lead Jess and sister Stef to create TWOOBS, an oh-so-cool vegan, environmentally-focused footwear brand that’s disrupting the fast fashion industry.

Head to the link in our bio and stories to hear all about Jess’ journey to creating these colourful AND kind beauties, taking the business to Byron Bay and how to create a serene space in your home. We promise you’ll leave feeling zen! #HomeLifeSeries by @jessdadonyoga

Happy first moments of 2023 💛 starting this year journaling about the many lessons I learned in the year just past. Important things like I’m allowed to say no to the things that don’t make me feel good, have preferences and ask for what I want. Profound things like even though toast seems like a good dinner option when I’m tired it definitely won’t leave me feeling nourished. And really real things like Sunny (my golden) is the antidote to pretty much all suffering and if every person in this world had a golden retriever the world would be a much more harmonious place.

Other questions I’m asking myself this morning include what made me feel good, what made me feel rubbish, and what do I want to cultivate more of going forward.

How are you starting your year?

It feels necessary to add, I am wearing underwear in this photo… it’s just hiding 😌 by @jessdadonyoga

Yesterday at 6pm I had already been working in bed for 2 hours. I felt pretty depleted from an ongoing lack of sleep and had already succumbed to the fact that I was going to eat cereal for dinner and binge housewives until I could convince my eyes to close. Not an overly fulfilling evening, and one that would’ve likely left me restless and wired by 9pm (ideally sleep time). I was gonna do it anyway.

Then Elliot walked in and suggested we go for a swim… something that usually I would have to beg him to do. I said no. I was tired and I couldn’t be bothered. But he pressed a little, so we moseyed on down and were greeted by the most delicious flat ocean - my favorite kind. It made me feel so light and connected, and then we went home, made a yummy dinner and I slept through the night for the first time in over a week.

Sometimes I’m great at feeling into what will truly nourish me in the moment and letting that guide me. But lots of other times I’m in bed with a box of sultana bran and Andy Cohen, and I need someone to close my laptop and walk me to the beach. And that’s okay too 🫶 by @jessdadonyoga

Business in the back, party in the front - this is what lending a hand looks like at @mat_and_table… especially on election night. Cheeks are sore, cup is full and heart is happy. Proud of you @sarahmcgrathyoga by @jessdadonyoga

How uncomfortable are uncomfortable feelings! This weekend I moved out of the city. The slow country life has been calling for quite a while, and I had imagined today would be filled with so much joy and excitement as this new chapter begins. But instead I felt anxious, sad, confused, and a little queasy. There were tears, and at one point I even started fantasizing about moving back into our old place 🤣 being honest with myself about the way I’m feeling inside is big, it’s so tempting to shove it all down and pretend like everything is peachy, it’s what I’ve done for most of my life. But I know that old pattern never got me anywhere worth going, so instead I’m taking a deep breath, I’m sitting with the belly squeeze and racing heart. I have no doubt these feelings will pass and the excitement and joy will eventually arrive, but for now I’m deciding to hold myself tenderly through this moment of change.

Oh yeah this is me class planning with a broken finger in my pajamas. Find me, this sequence, and maybe your insides this week at my forever home @hereyoga Monday 5pm, Tues 6am + 7:15am 💛 by @jessdadonyoga
