I’ve been back and forth to Windsor a few times recently. Checking in on the elephant and also collecting more of the other creations on the app.

The first time I was joined by the amazing @jesslong87 and the sponsor Jayflex Aggregates and shared stories.

The second time a family visit and enjoyed picnic in the shadows of the sculpture, not something I ever thought I’d be able to say.

Please visit, collect it on the app and keep an eye out for the auction if you’d like this one off piece to keep and raise lots of money for an amazing charity.

A moment of pure kindness 🤍 Yesterday I saw the wonderful @iamlaurie where he was able to see his elephant out on the trail in Windsor overlooking the castle. I think it is safe to say he was as proud of his work as I am!! One incredible moment of pure kindness was him handing over a gift, this print which I had to hold back the tears from, especially considering the timing! Working for Thames Hospice has opened up so many incredible friendships and conversations, one of which was when Laurie offered to create something for me from a fond memory that I had of Matt - this is just that! Isle of White, mid a stunning sunset paddle where Matt once said “you are my contract for life” and where we also subsequently scattered his ashes. Colwell bay is such a special place to us and Laurie has created something that I’ll hold dear forever 🌊 Eternally grateful 🙏 taken in Colwell Bay by @jesslong87

Last month saw us release our McLaren elephants into the wilds of Windsor. Dressed in our 60 Years of Papaya design, they have joined the herd for Thames Hospice’s Trunks Across the Thames art trail.

The concept was created through a collaboration across our MSO team before being handed over to our apprentice paint team, who did an incredible job transforming the vision into reality. Each elephant has also been signed by our McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

If you’re nearby, download the app, follow the trail, and see how many elephants you can find before it ends on 13 September. All in support of the fantastic work of Thames Hospice.

A group of elephants is called a memory, making them the perfect symbol to encourage people to reflect on and celebrate the lives of loved ones.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.

In memory of Matt. 🧡
