Today I headed to Thames Hospice HQ for the farewell weekend of the elephants.

They’ve all been on display this summer. Now they are ready to go to auction and raise lots and lots of money for an amazing charity.

I’ve been back and forth to Windsor a few times recently. Checking in on the elephant and also collecting more of the other creations on the app.

The first time I was joined by the amazing @jesslong87 and the sponsor Jayflex Aggregates and shared stories.

The second time a family visit and enjoyed picnic in the shadows of the sculpture, not something I ever thought I’d be able to say.

Last month saw us release our McLaren elephants into the wilds of Windsor. Dressed in our 60 Years of Papaya design, they have joined the herd for Thames Hospice’s Trunks Across the Thames art trail.

The concept was created through a collaboration across our MSO team before being handed over to our apprentice paint team, who did an incredible job transforming the vision into reality. Each elephant has also been signed by our McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

If you’re nearby, download the app, follow the trail, and see how many elephants you can find before it ends on 13 September. All in support of the fantastic work of Thames Hospice.

A group of elephants is called a memory, making them the perfect symbol to encourage people to reflect on and celebrate the lives of loved ones.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.

Today was the first day of the @trunksacrossthethames elephant trail. We’ve been so proud watching @jesslong87 work her butt off to make this all happen along with her amazing team, and we are so excited to get out there and find all the ele’s this summer! 🐘
