Cape Town is one of those places that looks like a city trip on paper and reveals itself as a country. Three days in, I realized I hadn’t even started.

This isn’t a stopover. It’s three distinct destinations stacked into one, and each deserves its own pacing. You need the time to actually experience it — anything less and you’re skimming the surface of something that goes much deeper.

I’m learning not everything needs to be shared in real time. Sometimes it’s better to just be fully in the moment.

I gave myself that space in South Africa, to experience it without thinking about how to capture it or post it, and I think that’s why it’s still sitting with me.

It was the pace, the stillness, the way everything felt so alive and grounding at the same time. The kind of trip that shifts your perspective and stays in your body long after you’ve left.

Sharing it now feels more meaningful than trying to keep up with it while I was there.

One of my favorite parts of visiting a destination is experiencing the hotels, because they shape so much of how a city feels. In Cape Town, the luxury stays each have such a distinct personality, and seeing them firsthand gave me a much deeper sense of the city and how I would design a trip for clients here.

@belmondmountnelsonhotel has that iconic pink hotel history and a lush garden setting that feels tucked away from the city. I stayed there, and it offers a completely different pace, quieter, more relaxed, and deeply rooted in Cape Town’s heritage.

@oocapetown feels modern and resort-like, with beautiful grounds, multiple dining options, and a vibrant energy. It’s a great choice for travelers who want a luxury resort atmosphere while still being in the heart of Cape Town.

@capegracehotel has a very classic, elegant feel right on the V&A Waterfront. The atmosphere is timeless and refined, and the location makes it incredibly easy to walk along the harbor and explore the city.

@thesilohotel_ is one of the most visually striking hotels in the city, set above the Zeitz MOCAA museum with those iconic geometric windows. It has a very design-forward feel and incredible views over the harbor and mountains.

@ictablebay combines a prime waterfront setting with sweeping views of Table Mountain, creating a stay that feels both central and distinctly Cape Town.

Cape Town is such a dynamic destination and pairs beautifully with time in the Winelands or a safari.

I recently returned from safari with @andbeyondtravel, and I am blown away. SO much to share and say, but a few of my biggest takeaways:

✨Cape Town deserves more than just a couple of days before your Safari. I am already planning to go back.
✨If you love traveling for wine like me, you absolutely must add the Winelands - Stellenbosch and Franschhoek to your itinerary.
✨There are many places to choose for a safari, but it’s hard to beat Botswana for it’s exclusivity. The wildlife viewing was unreal and the Okavango Delta is just stunning.
✨Traveling in low season, January - May is the best time to go. Less crowds and lower prices.
✨Africa is a bucket list trip but is worth doing it sooner than later. Don’t wait for the right moment, go now. You will thank me later!

Norway has quietly been one of my favorite places I’ve ever traveled, so I loved seeing it highlighted on the @foratravel 2026 Hot List. ✨

I experienced it firsthand back in 2022, and it’s the kind of destination that stays with you long after you leave.

A few ways I especially love experiencing Norway:

✨ Small ship cruising through the fjords for access you can’t get any other way
✨ Local cuisine and cultural moments that feel rooted and real
✨ Outdoor adventures like hiking, kayaking, and biking surrounded by unreal scenery
