not the sidequesting into an @aria_official nominated cast album and being a part of 7 @greenroomawards nominations !!!

thank u for the joy this show has brought to me and given back to the peoples!!!

the chaos of a Spain wedding all nighter to a 6am flight and hopping off straight into rehearsals cannot be vouched for as ideal, but I sadly have a gut feeling it will happen again 😭😭😭

in a world where nothing matters! i’m glad to be a part of something that matters :)

Congratulations to the @apraamcos x @offbeatcollective_ summer sessions residency winners ‼️🧡

Each artist will receive 5 free sessions and use the studio time to refine their projects this summer 🎶

All remaining applicants were offered a sliding scale studio discount at their own set rate to progress their own ideas without the cost barrier 🧡🧡🧡 taken in Offbeat Collective by @jevacado

These days, I think about the kid growing up that used to love to sing a lot. The kid who came home from school and would look up karaoke videos on YouTube and learn whatever was on the radio. The kid who went to the music room at lunch or free periods to play piano and sing for a good release. The kid everyone knew loved to sing.

It’s weird growing up and trying to capitalise on something you once genuinely loved. The pursuit of wanting to sing everyday for the rest of your life eventually became the very thing that took the joy out of it.

These days I’m trying to reconnect to what singing once did for me. I’m doing random karaoke nights by myself and belting (whilst crying) Somewhere Only We Know?? The Hercules Soundtrack?? Lego house ?? Anything that takes me back - it’s fucking great.

Tomorrow night I’ve signed up to be a part of a cute community music night. There’ll be three songwriters and we’ll be taking turns playing a song each and having wholesome introspective chats about it for a few rounds @passpauseplay

I’ll be using tomorrow as another chance to bring it back and remind myself to just… sing… and to share stories, because that’s kind of the whole point of music right?

Come down to Nauti Studios Forrest Lodge 6PM (Tues) if you’re free and want to do something cute and community vibes x

I’ll be playing a new track or 2, the JËVA u know and a special guest! (@nicole__issa) 👻 taken in Nauti Studios Sydney by @jevacado

something very special that I’m proud of emerged into the world this week ✨

I met @iamkarlou a few years back at songwriting camp, I remember I was crashing out over a boy (surprise surprise) and Karz read our texts and helped a brother out.

we bonded over our love for @chelseacutler @jeremyzucker and from there we wrote a banger ‘Bitter’, which unexpectedly but unsurprisingly did really well on Spotify & editorials.. beginning our writing relationship together.

we’ve penned a few great tracks since then, but when Karz hit me up a few months ago with some very big news and wanted to write a song about it - I felt so so incredibly privileged to be trusted with his story.

I know how incredibly difficult coming to terms with your identity in this world can be, so I’m so fucking touched and so fucking proud of @iamkarlou and this beautiful piece of art we made together 🏳️‍⚧️🩵🩷🤍

of course beautiful prod by @mattmcguffiee

thank you for being brave enough to share your story and be vulnerable in a time when the world needs to hear it the most - and thank you for trusting me to be a part of it, reminding me what music is all about 🩷🩵🤍

you can listen to ‘someone else’ - Karlou wherever you stream your music now!

big love my man x
