A few years back I was out for a walk with Mags and Ollie on a rainy Seattle night. I knew once we made it to the grassy lawn near the dog park I would take them off their leashes and Maggie would immediately sprint down the hillside while Ollie joyfully chased her around for as long as she decided to play. At that moment I remember thinking how content I was and how I would never forget how happy their happinesses made me. I often think back to that little memory because it really changed my outlook on the little things we did so often together that previously went without much notice or consideration. I absolutely loved every walk, swim, hike, dog park trip, beach run and snow roll we shared. That rainy night it just seemed to click as to how special they were to me and I’m blessed that feeling stayed as long as they did. Thanks for making everything better friends, I miss you. by @jfirle
