Photo from personal project documenting the development of subdivisions along the Etowah River in Cartersville, Georgia.

I wish I never stopped this project, but could not afford film & was trying to figure out how to keep going with photo.

This felt like the last glimpse of really diving into photography. My final year of college I was so photo obsessed, it was what I woke up excited to do everyday. Just wander and photograph the streets for hours. One of my professors for a general education requirement class told me I was a horrible student during this time. But I was such a good student, going head first into what I loved and wanting to get better. Unafraid to be told I was wrong and grow and learn. Listening to photographer interviews while editing, going to critiques where students did not try. While I just kept trying to throw myself at the wall.

I feel myself moving toward a way of life like this again. Spent some miserable time where I thought of photography every single day - tired and drowned by a terrible bore in Atlanta. Thank god it's over. by @jgb.iv
