It’s hard to put into words what the last 2 years has meant to me as a human and a photographer. In 2024 I had the huge goal to start working for Toledo’s Creative Team. How thankful I am for being a determined kid, messaging every creative I knew at Toledo, wondering what I had to do to get a chance.

In a profession that is seen in multiple lights, I’m so thankful that my experience here was nothing short of amazing in every aspect. From working with the best sport teams, getting experiences at stadiums and events I can’t even fathom, to having @bee__views and @editsbyellenj trust me with so many projects and games over these years were extremely humbling. Most importantly, I worked with the best dang creative team in the world. I cannot wrap my head around the gift I was given here.

In learning there’s more to my life than photos, I hope to constantly cherish these moments, reminding myself like always, what I do, what Creatives do, is good. It’s needed. To whatever is next, may Jesus’ will be done.

4 years of JGP!

A year filled with so many feelings. Easily the hardest year doing this, but the year where I felt the most growth. Learning how to deal with burnout, new positions, and feeling far from a community I find joy in, this year introduced so many struggles.

But, struggle and challenges can become hope. Hope that you are doing life the right way. You’re taking risks, learning to fail, learning to succeed. It’s a good reminder that you aren’t stuck, you’re just taking more chances than you can currently comprehend. Once again, I didn’t have all the right words, so I wrote it down. I’d love for you to take time to read it. Link is in my bio!

So here’s to year 5. A year that will be filled with challenges, but new opportunities. A year filled with the same community that I hope will still be around as long as you have me. Thank you Jesus!! by @jgp.images

What fills your cup?

It’s a question I asked myself a lot this fall season. A season filled with change and frustration. It was hard to answer that question. I’m not really sure what did, it was hard to see in the moment.

But, like most things, when everything isn’t so chaotic, you reflect and see how much goodness there still is in this life. Despite feeling absent and out of tune with communities that have always filled my cup, I was still blessed to be given times to step back into those places again. That joy reminded me my cup will always be full, as long as this is still apart of my life.

So whatever you do, I hope that cup is full.
