I used to think design was just making something look good. It’s not. It’s making sure it works for a real human. Save this if you care about how things feel, not just how they look.

Industrial design is really the whole life cycle of a product - sketches, materials, ergonomics, and what happens when it’s done being used. That’s the part people miss. The best designs aren’t just beautiful.

They’re comfortable, useful, and make sense the second you use them. That’s especially true in cars - if you can’t reach it, understand it, or trust it, the design failed. What’s one product you use every day that actually gets this right?

The Tokyo Trans Am legend lives on with @hotwheelsofficial
latest Celica release. Modeled after our TTA with minor updates, this Celica fits nicely along side the original Inno64 model they made of our car.
Debuting this car at the 2019 @semashow, we never expected to have a real Hot Wheels version of it. A huge thank you to the JH team and the all our sponsors who made this happen.

Remember one of the best in show cars at MotorCity Foxfest 2026 ? Yeah that's it. Such a bad ass collage of metal fabrication. I was surprised at the color they picked since it was a Jalpeno red car. They definitely nailed the color choice of that dark shade of green they picked with brown interior. A perfect morning to set up some Mikuni Solex carbs on the GTRs S20 engine.

Out of the 832 GTRs made in the first year, this is number 102. This early 1969 Nissan Skyline has been painstakingly restored with only mild updates that wouldn't hurt the originality.

Huge thanks to @advancedplating that took on the task to restore all the chrome and I'll feature that in another post to show the insane transformation. Also shout-out to Binh @lonelydrivercompany for sourcing parts, Eric @jdm_legends for advice and help and Tim @zycoatusa for refinishing and coating the header.
