2025-26 Class Music Video

This class is a blessing! I struggle each year trying to find the right song to match it to each unique class. Then I came across @larussell "I'm From the Bay" campaign and thought it would be fresh if he came by our elementary school so we can rep Frisco. Nothing panned out since I figured they're focusing on middle and high schools. Elementary folks got flavor, too.🤣 Well, that won't stop us from repping Longfellow and Frisco. For Us, By US. These kids are all about repping who they are. They're from the Bay. ✊🏾 Yeeeee!😎

P.S.
If you didn't already know, LongfellowSF has a FilipinoWLES program. All are welcome!😁

First Grade Filipino WLES class dance of 2021-22

Each classroom has a unique story. Like the 10 previous first grade classes, I loved teaching them just the same. It's always tricky choosing the right song to match their personality. This one is full of social justice activists. They took in every social studies lessons and retained each story of Larry Itliong and other heroes/heroines from various communities. They have dreams of doing great things as they grow up and I WISH for that to happen for them.

Initially, this class didn't give me the feeling that they liked to dance in contrast to the previous year. I had many wallflowers early on when we would do dance exercises. I then realized they didn't care much about dancing to Go Noodle. lol Instead, I needed to actually dance in front of them to engage their inner love for dance. Once I realized that, they were locked in. 🤣

Now please enjoy our 2021-2022 dance to "I Wish" by Skee-Lo.

Even a little can do a lot. 💪🏽
Thank you to Mr. Lapitan for getting our school some mulch to refresh our school. Huge thank you to our families for spending a Saturday morning to put in work. 🙌🏽 To our PTA President @pammiepie , @fore_putt_papi , Uncle Ben, Charlene, and our kids for the muscles.

Slowly getting ready for the first day of school. Yeeee!
