Another awesome day for our annual Theme Park Summer Bash, this time not only at Disneyland, but also California Adventure, the latter which I had not been to in over 20 years!!! Here, I indulged in many new rides attractions and other experiences such as visiting the “off the page” animation store, where I took a short class at the Animation Academy, riding “guardians of the Galaxy” (at George and Jeff’s urging 🤣), the racers ride at Carsland, collecting some awesome souvenirs, and so much more! Big thanks to my good friend Jeff for enabling us to experience more of the Disney magic at both parks! None of this would’ve been possible without you!!!✨✨✨✨😄😄😄 taken in Disney California Adventure Park by @jidtoons

Two weeks worth of CTN sketches! Here I went all out, sketching aggressively and passionately, applying my S-curves, contour lines, and convex lines, holding nothing back, and I’m really satisfied with how the line work turned out! Just you wait, those animation jobs are as good as mine!!! 😁😁✨🎨✨✍️✍️🎥🎥 #ctnhappenings #sketchbook #gesturedrawing #traditionalanimation #pencildrawing taken in CTN Sketch FEVER by @jidtoons

More CTN Sketches!!! The drapery posed a little bit of a challenge with its many wrinkles and folds, but I’m able to work through with the basic shapes of the clothes first and then work my way to the folds! Making my way little by little!!!😁🎥✍️🎥✨✨✨✨✍️🎨🎨#ctnhappenings #sketchbook #gesturedrawing #traditionalanimation #disneyanimation taken in CTN Sketch FEVER by @jidtoons

Spending the weekend at the Black-n-Animated 2026 Career Summit at Titmouse Animation Studios!!! (in Burbank, not downtown LA lol) So far, this has been one of the biggest and the best animation events I’ve ever been to, as not only did I meet, connect and establish new friendships with other fun, amazing and like-minded creatives of all levels, but I learned so much from those currently working in the industry about animation, networking, and a whole lot more on a rawer and deeper level!!! I feel that I have finished this event with a much stronger and more clearer understanding of the animation industry, and I can’t wait to apply my new-found knowledge as I get closer and closer to realizing my dreams!!! Thank you, Black-N-Animated and all who were at this amazing event! I’m so happy to have met you and it would not have been such an awesome and fruitful experience without you guys!!! 🎉🎉🎉✨✨✨🎥🎥✍️✍️🎨🎨😁😁😁✨✨ taken in Titmouse Inc. Animation Studio by @jidtoons

More CTN sketches!!! I normally use a red pencil for my sketches, but the first time I experimented with Green! I must say I’m really impressed with how well I kept my style despite the color change! Keep pressing on!!!! ✨✨✍️🎨🎨🎥🎥✨✨✨ #ctnhappenings #sketchbook #gesturedrawings #2danimation #pencilsketches taken in CTN Sketch FEVER by @jidtoons

More CTN sketches! I’ve started to apply thicker lines to my pencil strokes and I’ve noticed that I’ve started to get faster my sketching speed, and still still keep strong dynamic poses as well as the flow in my pencil work! It’s really helped me become more and more confident as an artist!✨✨🎨🎨🎨✍️✍️ taken in CTN Sketch FEVER by @jidtoons

Attending the “Camp Snapofeather” presentation at CTN! It was such a treat getting to the creators of this awesome project and their goal to create a TV series from it! I learned a few pointers about creating my own TV series as well! I wish them the best in their project and I can’t wait to see it on the big screen!!! 🤩🤩🤩✨✨ taken in CTN Studio Space by @jidtoons

Two Saturdays worth of CTN sketches!!! Yesterday I was on a total sketch craze, especially in pushing the poses and expressions, and I must say I’m starting to see a lot more personality and emotion in my work! Emperor Pilaf and his two enforcers Shu and Mai from the Dragon Ball series! Binge-watching several episodes featuring this wacky trio has inspired me to draw them in my style, and I’m very pleased with the results! Took me a couple of months on and off, but seeing the finish product was totally worth it! #clipstudiopaint #2ddigitalart #dragonball #pilafgang #animecomedy by @jidtoons

Enjoying an awesome brunch day with the amazing Austin Traylor, a current Disney animator known for his work on the acclaimed Disney short “Once Upon a Studio“!!! Several days ago I had an unexpected encounter with him at my day job, which soon transpired into an awesome hangout today! I had such a phenomenal time learning from him and sharing with what I learned on my own journey, geeking out about animation, and even getting to trade our awesome work and resources with each other as well! I am so totally looking forward to how my art/animation path forms from this magical point of my life!!! 😁😁😁✍️✍️🎥🎞️🎞️✨✨✨ taken in The Black Cow Cafe by @jidtoons
