Another awesome day for our annual Theme Park Summer Bash, this time not only at Disneyland, but also California Adventure, the latter which I had not been to in over 20 years!!! Here, I indulged in many new rides attractions and other experiences such as visiting the “off the page” animation store, where I took a short class at the Animation Academy, riding “guardians of the Galaxy” (at George and Jeff’s urging 🤣), the racers ride at Carsland, collecting some awesome souvenirs, and so much more! Big thanks to my good friend Jeff for enabling us to experience more of the Disney magic at both parks! None of this would’ve been possible without you!!!✨✨✨✨😄😄😄

Taking the time this 27th birthday to reflect all the cherished memories from 2026🖤🎂 The inspirations, the achievements, core memories, the hurt, the lessons, the growing pains, new soul connections, and more. From my first real heartbreak to graduating and getting my second degree, this year was truly wild and there’s more to come! No regrets baby, just growth✨

Shout out and big love to my family, my friends, my community, peers, and supporters. You helped make my 26th year special, on to 27!

I can't believe the summit is over already!! Thank you so much to @blacknanimated and @titmouseinc for creating and hosting the Black N Animated Career Summit and for having @shugh.art return as presenters! Big thank you to @iamdallasjlogan for these amazing photos and @genesispriscila_ for waking up early to give me this fire makeup look 🤩!

This was such a full-circle moment for us. I remember longing for a space where I could meet other Black artists and create friendships that lasted, and last summit, I walked away with so many incredible friends and an amazing friend and business partner, @shugh.art ! The @blacknanimated and @titmouseinc summit was one of the best highlights in my journey into learning about the world of animation. Being around soo many artist who look like me, and speak my creative language was the coolest thing to experience. There isn’t a lot of black animators in the industry, so the fact that this was even a thing warms my heart to no end.

I’m tagging people that have made this experience the best it could be with their kindness! If I didn’t tag you, let me know! (If you don’t to be tagged, dm me)

Massive shout out to @thestudiomoyo @nikflo_ and @shugh.art for letting me know about the existence of something soo cool!

Thank you to everyone in the tags for being the coolest people in the world! I even feel a bit bummed heading back out here because this experience is something you don’t see everyday! I love you all, and I’ll keep practicing my fundamentals ❤️

P.s.
Next post after this will be about the album.

Spending the weekend at the Black-n-Animated 2026 Career Summit at Titmouse Animation Studios!!! (in Burbank, not downtown LA lol) So far, this has been one of the biggest and the best animation events I’ve ever been to, as not only did I meet, connect and establish new friendships with other fun, amazing and like-minded creatives of all levels, but I learned so much from those currently working in the industry about animation, networking, and a whole lot more on a rawer and deeper level!!! I feel that I have finished this event with a much stronger and more clearer understanding of the animation industry, and I can’t wait to apply my new-found knowledge as I get closer and closer to realizing my dreams!!! Thank you, Black-N-Animated and all who were at this amazing event! I’m so happy to have met you and it would not have been such an awesome and fruitful experience without you guys!!! 🎉🎉🎉✨✨✨🎥🎥✍️✍️🎨🎨😁😁😁✨✨

Attending the “Camp Snapofeather” presentation at CTN! It was such a treat getting to the creators of this awesome project and their goal to create a TV series from it! I learned a few pointers about creating my own TV series as well! I wish them the best in their project and I can’t wait to see it on the big screen!!! 🤩🤩🤩✨✨

Enjoying an awesome brunch day with the amazing Austin Traylor, a current Disney animator known for his work on the acclaimed Disney short “Once Upon a Studio“!!! Several days ago I had an unexpected encounter with him at my day job, which soon transpired into an awesome hangout today! I had such a phenomenal time learning from him and sharing with what I learned on my own journey, geeking out about animation, and even getting to trade our awesome work and resources with each other as well! I am so totally looking forward to how my art/animation path forms from this magical point of my life!!! 😁😁😁✍️✍️🎥🎞️🎞️✨✨✨

More CTN sketches! I feel that my lines have improved even more than last time especially when learning about contour lines and convex lines! It’s really helped my figures take even stronger form! Plus, I even got to draw Minnie Mouse alongside other great creatives, one of them being seasoned animator Brian Mainolfi! (my drawing of Minnie is the one in red 😄) I was even more amazed of how well I could draw her! I need to draw Disney characters more often! 🤣🤩🤩 I meant fancy clothes and closer to making my dream come true!!! 😁😁🎨✨🎨✨✨✨✨#ctnhappenings #gesturedrawing #lifedrawings #sketchbook #tradtionalanimation

Attending the Burbank Arts and Local Business Mixer at the Colony Theater!!! This was one of the most unique networking events that I have ever been to, as I not only got to connect with artists, animators and studio people, but also Burbank city officials (including the MAYOR of Burbank herself!) who are also as passionate and dedicated to art and animation as I am!!! I feel that this is going to open new doors and opportunities as I navigate my way through my art/animation journey!!! 🎨🎨🤩🤩✍️👏👏👏🎬🎬✨✨✨✨

Participating in “Sketch + Learn” hosted by Pixar story legend Robert Lence at CTN! This was an amazing workshop where I got to experience firsthand how stories, characters and other creative ideas are formed, developed, boarded and constructed into wonderful animated films at Pixar alongside other like-minded creatives! It was such an exciting experience being able to craft and share my own unique and funny ideas with this amazing group; my sketches are the ones in red pencil! Totally cannot wait for another session like this one!!! #pixarstorytelling #gagdrawings #ctnhappenings #storyxperiential #conceptart

2025 was a tough, yet fun year full of surprises. Starting the year on a family trip to Japan and Taiwan and ending the year on a rainy day here near L.A., many things happened this year. I finished my last semester that Spring and graduated from CSULB with a BFA in Animation and Minor in Finance. Then started a 6-month journey to find my first full-time job out of college. During that summer, I interned as a 2D Animator at @137ewes . Finally, the Friday right before Thanksgiving, I finally landed my first full-time job out of college.

On the fun side, I am making great progress on my cartoon, 'Cartoony Companions'. I also went on family trips to Japan/Taiwan, O'ahu, and Las Vegas this year. Most importantly, I toured Walt's office on the Walt Disney Studios lot with my volunteer group. Combined with the 2 Zootopia 2 screenings I attended, I was on the Disney Studios lot 3 times this year alone.

2026 will be a fun and exciting year. I look forward to finally finding a place in/near Burbank to move to and eventually move out of my current place in Anaheim. I also just created a travel account @yiptravels_55 to share all of my travel journeys and tips there; this account is mainly focused on my animation journey and dreams for the future. Most importantly, I am really looking forward to meeting many more of you out there, building relationships, and continuing to let the child within me run wild!

Thank you to everyone who made my 2025 wonderful! #2025 #animation #animationdreams
