I’ve been quiet on social media but busy in the gym staying strong, fighting to get stronger and training wonderful women 💪 I love being a personal trainer and supporting women on their journey to reaching greater physicality and overall well being ✨💥⭐️
Lifting is my therapy, my antidepressant, my anti anxiety and even my friend, if you will. My “gym fam” is something special too. We’re not blood but, man it’s a special bond. It formed without my even realizing it over this past year and it’s something I’ve been needing since building a new life in a new place. 🩵

Got my movement in today! 🙌🎉 These days, post #thyca surgery, it can be a little harder to plan because my mind will say move and my body will say rest. I’ve learned that when I have the energy it’s important to use it quickly & wisely. Still hoping for and looking forward to energy improvements as my body adjusts to thyroid meds and the dose is tweaked to what my body needs 🙏🦋💙.

Whelp here’s to my first face to face Friday🙈 My heart is racing a bit as I post this but it’s years overdue. These photos were taken 2 years apart in #murrelsinlet, SC

I hadn’t traditionally carried around extra weight but, my 30’s hit and things changed. I was becoming more & more exhausted, inflamed, anxious etc.

After sharing this and other details with multiple Dr’s I finally found one that listened. Really listened. After bloodwork, exams etc I was dx with pre diabetes and PCOS. I cried not because I was upset but because I finally had something to work with. 🙌 I made the decision to ditch refined sugar, gluten & alcohol 🚫🍭🍸I was already taking a break from alcohol to try to lose weight and decrease anxiety & depression but, hiatus turned into never again. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been eating low carb and higher (healthy) fat/protein since Feb. 2017. I’m not preaching this particular approach for all but, this is what changed my life and gave me hope that I could feel amazing 🤩

Removing alcohol, sugar and gluten decreased my blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol. It also cleaned up my hormonal acne, gut trouble and decreased my #anxiety and #depression 🙏

There’ve been some unwelcomed twists and turns in my journey this year after #RA dx, thyroid cancer dx & partial thyroidectomy. I feel challenged. Sure the cancer is gone but, now the hormone battle is on #🦋💪

I really love hummus! And dipping things in it 💛💛💛Like a lot! 🙈😁 But… when I started keto I worried about the number of carbs in it so, I started making my own and lowering the carb count a bit by adding AVOCADO, sour cream and less tahini paste! 🥑🎉

Happy 16th Birthday Lick Jagger 👅 🎉
My boy is definitely a unique cat and he really keeps me intrigued and entertained after all of these years. After we lost Buggy 2 years ago it really sucked. But, Lick and I have developed a totally different relationship as he mostly took a backseat to his possessive and attention seeking brother. He’s become more snuggly and this year while I was home after surgery and we had some quality time, he even learned to be a lap cat! Imagine that... 16 years before he discovered the joy of a lap ☺️ And we’ve discovered his love of the heating pad lol. I love this boy will all my heart 💙 And if you’re reading this caption still, you’re definitely my kind of human and thank you for being here. When you don’t have human kiddos, your pets are your kids and they are your world. Not everyone understands that. Love you Lick Jagger to the moon and back 💚🌍🌔🌎💚.
