A few weeks ago, I went to the most beautiful place with an incredible group of women for some hiking, some spa’ing, and some really hard yoga. And I accidentally stole a car. Dolomites - I’ll be back!

Spent the New Year and start of 2026 in Ecuador hiking around a few volcanoes, learning new mountaineering skills, seeing some llamas and alpacas, making new friends, and learning a lot about myself. Technically, it wasn’t as physically successful as I would have liked but fingers crossed I’ll be going back to finish what I started.

Big thanks to @nicolas_navarrete.ec for not letting me pack it in and go home, to @cabrapalmonte for her patience, and to @nachoespinosaandrade for his playlists on the bus. Day 7
Park 6: Hershey Park!!!! An extra special day spent with @jillmeisner and her friend Amy! Thank you so much for driving to meet us!!!!! We had the best day with you all!

No brewery to add to the list, but instead went to the Hershey Chocolatier. Kids turn for a flight…Jolly Rancher Mocktails!

A giant shout out to the incredible team from @climbingmtkilimanjaro . George, our fearless leader, scared the shit out of me and inspired me daily. Shadya, Gerald, and Rasheed each took turns trekking “pole pole” with me. Allyshabii - the best dressed porter on the mountain - I’m in awe of his constant positivity and he will always have my immense gratitude. And to Alfons, who was my rock on summit night/day. I wouldn’t have made it without him.

I can’t not recognize that - including those named above - 38 men and women supported our trekking group. The porters, chefs, waiters, camp managers, toilet cleaners, etc., it was humbling watching this team race past us from camp to camp carrying all of the supplies. Nothing like watching a porter pass you while balancing a duffle bag on their head as we scale the Barranco Wall.

Thankfully, the Kilimanjaro Porter community is now regulated. There are weight limits and set wages. It’s not a perfect system but it’s getting better. taken in Mount Kilimanjaro by @jillmeisner

Feels a bit crazy to me that just a week ago, I was trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. I’ve been thinking about doing this for about 5 years, and finally decided 2024 was the year. I didnt want to psych myself out so I didn’t watch videos or ask anyone what to expect. I prepared the best way I could physically, but I didn’t know about the Barranco Wall, the extreme inclines, or the ridiculous wear and tear the altitude and the descent would have on my body. It was so much harder than I ever could have expected, mentally and physically, but it made it that much better to reach to the peak where I immediately cried tears of joy!
