This ART EXHIBITION alongside FIRE & AERIAL PERFORMANCES has been curated by @leviathangothevents for a mystical & wild October Evening!
@gvllery_af is excited to bring to you “GHOST SHIP” An Art Show and Performative Arts Party in celebration of October, All Hallows Eve and the Autumn Equinox.
We figured the best for this event would be to collaborate with the amazing dark artist and curator of “Leviathan Goth Night” @Shane.Izykowski ! Shane is a dark art realist painter and sculptor extraordinaire. A curator of all curiosities! We could not be more excited to collaborate on this truly one-of-a-kind event!
THIS SHOW FEATURES:
Over 40 of Los Angeles’ Finest Art Talents and beyond, composed primarily of dark Artists alongside some amazing artists who’ve ventured into the darkness for this themed exhibition. This will be featured in the gallery’s primary exhibition space alongside our Fire and Aerial Performances.
The inspiration behind the Group Art Exhibition Ghost Ship is dedicated to past memories, carried away by vessels long forgotten, on unsettled and dark waters. The turbulence of the ocean wakes us from our slumber, while the memories of past pain, trauma, grief and suffering come flooding back into our consciousness. We find ourselves asking if we’re actually awake, or are we lucidly dreaming of a time gone by? taken in Gallery AF by @jimmylimits

Bakunawa, The Moon Eater (2026) multimedia sculpture installation by yours truly, showcased at @bass.n.babes Rainbow Summer last month!

I'm still OVER THE MOON with all the amazing support and opportunities that came with this piece-- and that continue coming because she's not done yet... 👀 If you didn't get the chance to see it in person, or want to come see it again for it's SECOND, updated 2.0 iteration, come down to @gvllery_af LA in collaboration with @leviathangothevents on Sat, 10/10 for their Ghost Ship group exhibition featuring myself and so many other talented artists! There will be live music djs and performances for the reception, tickets are in our bios. I'm so honored for this opportunity to display my art. 💚🌊⚓️🏴‍☠️

This sculpture is a very important and personal piece of mine, which depicts the ancient indigenous Filipino folklore of Bakunawa, a giant mythological sea serpent that rises out of the ocean during the times of the lunar eclipse to swallow the moon whole. When the village people would see the moon getting eaten by Bakunawa, they would run outside yelling with pots and pans to make as much noise as possible to scare the creature away. Eventually, Bakunawa would spit the moon back out into the sky and retreat, thus ending the eclipse. This became a tradition passed down over time, and as a mixed Filipine-American artist, I wanted to honor this story through my art and share it with others who can appreciate its beauty. 🌗🐉🇵🇭❤️

All the gratitude and thanks to every person that helped me with this huge project, including my family and coworkers, Bass N Babes, Abby and Jayo for hosting the event, Lex for the beautiful flyer placard, Kat for her photos, Hannah, Addie and Kris, all of my friends and the BnB community that came out to support me and chat with me at the show, the incredible and talented artists and djs that made the event so vibrant and colorful, as well as Gallery AF and Shane from Leviathan Goth Events for the next opportunity to showcase this beast!

I hope you enjoy some behind the scenes footage of the sculpture process and stay tuned for where and when Bakunawa will strike next... 🌒🐲 (on Oct 10th in LA!) by @jimmylimits

Bass n Babes Pride II 🌈🔊🫶🏼✨️🏳️‍⚧️

Fashionably late ofc, but I'm still full of gratitude and queer joy after this amazing event bringing together the femme and queer community. 💕

Celebrating ourselves, speaking our truth, showing up authentically, living as ourselves unapologetically, and sharing our unique talents and gifts with the world is such an important and necessary practice right now. Especially where LGBTQIA+, Transgender, women, black, immigrant, and other marginalized peoples rights are under attack in this country.

That's why I wanted to create this interactive pride message board for the @bass.n.babes community to write their truths and leave your mark in whatever meaningful, fun and silly way you choose! 😜✌🏼🍑 Thank you to everyone who participated, it warmed my heart reading everyone's responses.

Thank you to Lex @omgitslexlooper and Six for helping me make, assemble, and paint the board.

Thank you @itsbabykush and @bass.n.babes for the opportunity showcasing where my art can live, and for hosting such a beautiful, inclusive and vibrant event space in the rave community. 👽🛸✨️

Thank you to my friends Jules @__juleskaren and Eden @edensoluna who continue to show up for me and dance with me,
Kris @arakelov_visuals and Andy @limitless.resonance who help support me and uplift one another,
Hannah @breaking_h for adding the flags and sharing conversations,
Kat @curiouskatphoto for some of these amazing killer photos,
and everyone I met and all the talented DJs, producers, dancers, performers, production and staff team that made the night successful and so unique. 🌈💖

Shoutout to my friend @whoiscpark for releasing this beautiful tune on the @bass.n.babes.records volume III, go check the compilation out and her other music! 🖤🔊

This is what I've been up to lately with @bass.n.babes for 420! 💚✌🏼☮️👽🎶

It's been really fun getting back into painting props and making weird, interactive art sculptures. Maybe you saw me post part 1 of this last minute project I put together from some flat 2D foam boards with stickers that @itsbabykush had, and I figured... why not turn it into a 3D alien smoking a blunt?!

And what better way to show it than at a basshead party in LA for the girls, gays and theys 💅🏼🕺🏻🔊
Featuring @jillimusic @trowlmusic @itsbabykush
@cruxmyheart @neecywubz @ghostagirl (sorry I didn't catch vids of everyone)

I'm happy to have pulled it together in time and I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to create fun things for people to interact with and enjoy!

Thank you @limitless.resonance for helping me set up and add some details. And thank you to all my friends who came through to see it in person and support the event with me <3 It is truly a magical place at BnB 💜🪐✨️

I am just a fool,
A hypocrite, blinded by ideals
A pool of white roses
Fallen too far

A ray of sun enters
Through stained glass windows
I lay motionless, breathing
It's all I can do

But when night comes, I wake
To dance around chambers
The moonlight guides
My emotions as layers

I paint with a solemn heart
My cry like a jubilee
Every moment so precious
If I love, am I free?
