This ART EXHIBITION alongside FIRE & AERIAL PERFORMANCES has been curated by @leviathangothevents for a mystical & wild October Evening!
@gvllery_af is excited to bring to you “GHOST SHIP” An Art Show and Performative Arts Party in celebration of October, All Hallows Eve and the Autumn Equinox.
We figured the best for this event would be to collaborate with the amazing dark artist and curator of “Leviathan Goth Night” @Shane.Izykowski ! Shane is a dark art realist painter and sculptor extraordinaire. A curator of all curiosities! We could not be more excited to collaborate on this truly one-of-a-kind event!
THIS SHOW FEATURES:
Over 40 of Los Angeles’ Finest Art Talents and beyond, composed primarily of dark Artists alongside some amazing artists who’ve ventured into the darkness for this themed exhibition. This will be featured in the gallery’s primary exhibition space alongside our Fire and Aerial Performances.
The inspiration behind the Group Art Exhibition Ghost Ship is dedicated to past memories, carried away by vessels long forgotten, on unsettled and dark waters. The turbulence of the ocean wakes us from our slumber, while the memories of past pain, trauma, grief and suffering come flooding back into our consciousness. We find ourselves asking if we’re actually awake, or are we lucidly dreaming of a time gone by?

Whenever I post a video calling out a festival for not booking women, there’s always someone in the comments who’s like “aLL this TalK, whY doNt yOU dO sOmeThiNg aBOUt iT” !!!

I’ve been booking 100% women/femme/queer/trans/nonbinary lineups for 3.5 years and I’m not slowing down.

Our next show is this weekend, August 22 in downtown LA 💅🤝✨ if you love dubstep, queer spaces, and supporting women, then you should pull up.

First and foremost, we are on a mission to unite queer bassheads under one roof on a very magical, immersive dance floor in a space that is safe and inclusive for all 🌈👽🎶🪩

And we’re making it happen August 22 in DTLA! It’s dubstep like you’ve never seen it before - by and for women and queer ravers 🫶✨💟

Lock in your plans with us before it’s too late!

Everyone kinda ate with these answers…

It might be the last day of pride month, but queer pride is forever, every day and always. You matter EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR! ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

And we’re continuing our pride shenanigans in July on 7/3 in Portland and 7/16 in Seattle!

Thank you @jimmylimits for designing this incredible community art project 🫶 and thank you @aarthiprakash & @curiouskatphoto for capturing it 💖

What does pride mean to you?! Let us know in the comments 👇
