The Fire Horse đŸ”„đŸŽ year begins on Feb 17, also falling on the day of a solar eclipse, with Saturn and Neptune conjunct in Aries just 3 days later. This is SUPER INTENSE ENERGY. And will mark an important moment in human history. In Chinese astrology, Fire Horse is one of the most extreme combinations. Horse energy is speed, movement, rebellion, independence. Fire turns that into intensity. Heat. Confrontation. Historically, Fire Horse years aren’t about gradual change. They’re about sharp breaks. Social unrest. Old structures collapsing. Turning points you can’t undo. Fire Horse energy doesn’t wait for anyone. It forces movement, often through chaos. The changes it brings are rarely comfortable, and they are usually permanent. History shows that when systems fracture, people rise. How we show up for ourselves and for one another will shape what comes next. #chinese #chinesefood #lunarnewyear #yearofthehorse #firehorse by @jingtheory

When I first started Fly By Jing, I didn’t just set out to create a chili crisp. It was my way of reclaiming culture, identity, and personal power through food. This is a story of where we began—and where we’re headed. It’s a story of diasporic identity, of breaking stereotypes, of flavor as a form of freedom. Today, six years into our journey, Fly By Jing is in thousands of kitchens around the world. We’ve sparked a conversation around modern Chinese food, and built a community that sees themselves reflected—in full color, and full flavor. Now we’re entering a new era. With our products in thousands more stores and in front of millions of new customers, we knew it was time to evolve—to meet people where they are. We’re ushering in this new era with a rebrand that’s bolder, clearer, and even more transparent. It’s designed to show—not tell—what we’ve always stood for: that bold flavors built with integrity, are here to stay. It’s not just a makeover. It’s a reflection of everything we’ve become, and everything we’re still becoming. Thank you for being part of the journey so far. I can’t wait to show you what’s next. by @jingtheory

Never thought I’d be on the front page of the Business section of @nytimes talking about how we troll back our trolls but here we are. Companies run by immigrant women of color have long been faced with vitriol and blatant racist and misogynistic backlash, and we just decided to give these đŸ€Ą the limelight they deserve. Swipe for some of their greatest hits and head to @flybyjing for more. by @jingtheory

Venus retrograde is showing you that you’ve changed before the rest of your life had time to catch up. Your relationships, routines, and goals may still reflect what mattered to you years ago. Nothing has to be obviously wrong for you to realize they no longer fit the same way. Chinese astrology has its own language for this. Luck Pillars describe ten-year chapters that can bring different themes and parts of you forward. Maybe the change has already happened inside you. Now your choices get to reflect it. Comment BLUEPRINT to find out your personal Luck Pillars and the chapter you’re in now. #astrology #venus by @jingtheory

California has been such an important part of building my businesses. At @sua_superette in Larchmont, we bring Sichuan flavors together with California produce and make space for Asian founders and other founders of color to share their creations. California has 4.3 million small businesses, the most of any state, and half are minority-owned. For me, that community is personal. It’s the founders we work with, the neighbors who support them, and the thousands of people who came together for the first Larchmont Village Lunar New Year Festival we organized. Building here means being able to share our cultures and help each other grow. Thinking about starting or growing a business in California? GO-Biz connects businesses with the resources, tools and support they need to start, grow and thrive in the state, check out the link in my bio to learn more. @justanotherdayinca #JustAnotherDayInCA #GOBizPartner by @jingtheory

Comment MOON and I’ll send you my October Workbook with Libra New Moon practice 🌙 The October 10 Libra New Moon offers a moment to notice what you’d like to cultivate in your relationships. Libra asks us to consider both our own needs and another person’s, and what feels fair between us. With Venus, Libra’s ruling planet, retrograde, that reflection includes revisiting old agreements. Something you were happy to give before may feel different now. One question to sit with:‹What have I been hoping someone would notice I need, without my having to ask? Let the answer help you choose an intention. More mutual effort. More room for honesty. More ease in asking for support. You don’t need to resolve the whole relationship tonight. Start by giving words to what you’ve noticed. #newmoon #libra #astrology by @jingtheory

The New Moon in Libra on October 10th brings the question of balance into focus. But what does it mean for you to come into balance? BaZi offers a way to make it personal: the same element has different relationships to different people. This month brings Earth into the picture, which can represent Wealth, Output, Peers, Resource, or Authority, depending on your Day Master (the element at the center of your birth chart). These relationships give us different questions to explore, rather than one instruction everyone should follow. Comment MOON for my free guide to how to work with this upcoming Libra New Moon personalized to your Chinese Bazi chart. by @jingtheory

STORYTIME. Venus just went retrograde in Scorpio, bringing up similar themes from the Fall of 2018. In 2018, I founded @flybyjing to reclaim the value of Chinese food, the flavors of my hometown, and my own name, but along the way, I let other people’s ideas of growth pull us away from what made this business ours. I recognized the pressure to flatten ourselves because I’d felt it long before I became a founder. Now, 8 years later, I am reflecting on coming full circle, and all the ways I’m meeting this moment differently today. Earlier this year, I came back after a long hiatus to run the business again, on my own terms, in my own way. And my recent trip to Chengdu reminded me how much I still love what started it all. So when asked the question, “Do you still want what you wanted in 2018?”, my answer is yes. With a much clearer understanding of what I need to protect and what I need to change. This next chapter is a reclamation of our sense of self again. And I’m so excited for it. What did you love enough to begin in 2018, and what would choosing it again look like today? #venus #venusretrograde #october #astrology #bazi by @jingtheory

October feels like a good time to look at everything you’ve been carrying and ask what you actually want to keep. After a full summer, that might mean finishing a project you still care about, following up on money you’re owed, revisiting an agreement, or giving yourself time to consider a relationship that’s been on your mind. In BaZi, the Earth Dog month carries the image of storing Fire, like covering the coals at the end of the night so they’re still warm in the morning. I love that as a reminder to take care of the things we want to last, including our own energy. Your Day Master gives you a more personal way to understand how this month’s energy meets you. Swipe through to find yours. Comment OCTOBER and I’ll send you my full October forecast and access to your personalized workbook, with the key transits, new and full moon practices, and journal prompts to help you work through the month. 🍂 by @jingtheory
