“Concepts create idols; only wonder comprehends anything. People kill one another over idols. Wonder makes us fall to our knees.” -St. Gregory of Nyssa

Last week I spent some time at a camp called Covecrest. Originally I wasn’t intended on going, yet the Lord had other plans for me in mind. I went with a parish called Annunciation, which isn’t my home parish, but my goal was to go into camp with zero expectations yet I ended up entering camp with an abundant amount of expectations. The theme for this week was “With every breath”, which revolved around the Holy Spirit, this was made present to me pretty early on. During my first few days the Lord was putting humility in my heart and I started to be open and trust His plan rather than my own. This was the best decision I made as I then started to witness the fruits of the Holy Spirit flourish through everyone I encountered. I was blessed to witness the kids from Annunciation have overwhelming wonder for the Lord, and I got to meet so many different people from other parishes and many of the missionaries at camp and all of these encounters were so intentional by God. Getting to see my Parish gain this flame and desire for the Lord truly had me in awe, I felt so inspired by everyone, I started to gain such a strong appreciation for even the smaller moments as I realized the Lord was strongly present in them too, and I was blessed to witness that through others. It’s so insane to me how one question lead to me having such an impactful week, I’m truly blessed the Lord put me here and helped me gain so many new friends.

Kansas Prayers and Actions 2025 (3/3) ❤️

Greatest trip to end my summer. I got the opportunity to go to Kansas with some awesome people (Sadie, Ari, and Julian). Going on this trip I didn’t know what to expect but I understood first thing, that the Lord called me to be there. Reuniting with some Kansas missionaries and getting to know new ones was such an awesome experience but, my greatest gig that week was the impact the Kansas community left on me. Everyone there was so welcoming and seeing the youth there be so open to serve the Lord was such a huge testimony. I saw the Lord move throughout my time there and I am so blessed to find more fellowship and to see more people my age say yes to the Lord that week, forever grateful for the friends I made in another state. Can’t wait to see them again one day!🤙🏽🫶🏼 taken in Lyons, Kansas by @jj1.gma

Spreading Gods word everywhere the Son shines
CMT mission trip, Puerto Rico 2025 🇵🇷

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

I’m so grateful for the amazing group of teenagers we had today, and an awesome start for the youth group at Christ the King. God has been so good this past year blessing me with the opportunity to meet new people during the summer of 2023. Without them me and my close friends wouldn’t be here leading youth group ourselves which is a huge blessing and amazing opportunity. I hope to invite more people as this is only the beginning of a new chapter. God is so good!❤️‍🔥✝️ by @jj1.gma
