It’s hard to describe my feelings this last week. All the fam as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins came to watch Dev perform for the first time with The Florida Ballet. Seeing her name in the program, and then taking a bow onstage in front of a sold out audience seemed like the beginning of a whole new adventure. So proud of you @devreejean! Wow, what a ride. That’s a wrap for the Roberts kids. Our baby and caboose has officially graduated! She is probably the funniest, sweetest, smartest person I know and it is going to be a MAJOR adjustment not having her around everyday. 😭 It’s safe to say that we’re all finding ourselves a little confused as to how we got here. It feels like the end of a huge chapter, and at the same time it all happened in the blink of an eye. We love you, Devree! Wow. It blows my mind that my baby is officially an adult. Happy birthday beautiful girl. I truly can’t imagine my life without you. There are just too many boys surrounding us at all times to not stick together.. You’re my best friend, even if I’m not yours… I’ll be second to Kaden any day. 😂 you’ve waited two long years for your bestie to come home, and I can’t think of a better bday present than to have him back. Even if he just moved out. 😂

Today was the best day. The absolute BEST. It started with the sweetest insta message from my SIL, I opened my favorite present EVER from Tyce (his artwork should always be celebrated. I’m SO mad I don’t have a picture here, Haha! if you know, you know)then I was able to have breakfast with Tanner and Dave🥰, my amazing work friends decorated my office with all kinds of my favorite things, and deco, including the BEST video message from Kody Brown (we are secretly obsessed with Sister Wives and hold routine secret meetings… it’s definitely unhealthy) 😬🤣, I got to chat with my favorite missionary, who showed me his zone chat with 34 messages telling me happy birthday 😭, I came home to a porch full of sweetness from friends, I got to get Dev ready for prom (pics coming tomorrow) I got to talk to ALL of my siblings and my parents 😭😭 (I love them so much), I got so many texts from my favorite people/friends, and then was swept away by my hubby to get my fave lettuce wraps and dessert, and a night away in the city. Sometimes I don’t know how I got so lucky. I’m so grateful for all of you. Thank you, everyone for making my day so amazing. 💙💙💙 by @jjulip

She said yes! 🎉 It’s official, Dev is finally getting a sister! Even though for the last 4.5 years it has felt official. 💙

These two met while playing on an indoor soccer team together, they started dating in high school while both attending different schools, graduated in 2020 during Covid, served 2 missions, and are now planning their forever and eternity. It has been a devastating week for my family. We unexpectedly had to say goodbye to one of the best. Wyatt’s huge smile and infectious laugh have been running through my mind all week. It has been both comforting and heartbreaking all at the same time.💔

Memories keep racing through my mind. Like how we called him Tyce’s twin, or when he would show me his latest new sports car and I would ask what happened to the last one, only to find out he wrecked it…. Again… 🤣 I would say “Wyatt!” And he would quickly respond, “Don’t, Jenny!” to avoid an aunt Jenn lecture. 😂

A handful of us got to spend New Years Eve together a month or so ago, and Wyatt said I was the “most fun, Non-drunk, person he has ever hung out with” we laughed so hard and I told him I would wear that badge with honor. 🏅

To say he will be missed is an understatement, to say we are sad and completely gutted by this loss, just doesn’t do it justice. It’s hard to accept terrible accidents are part of this life, but sadly they are, and we have no choice but to keep going forward.

The one thing that gives me comfort is the reunion of Wyatt and his best friend and brother, Hunter reuniting in a much cooler place. Although they didn’t plan it, I’m sure they’re laughing their heads off, while catching up on lost time. 🥰I love you both so much. I’m not a big “poster” and actually my biggest goal this year is to live in the moment… take pictures, but not feel the need to share them on social media… I have to admit it has been amazing and refreshing, however, something’s I want to document and this seems like the best way… 😜 I just want to give a huge shout out to this baby (16 year old) girl of mine. She has spent her summer in Boston dancing with Boston Ballet SDP. I’m so proud of her. So many life lessons she has learned, as well as a confirmation of the love she has for her particular passion. The drive and talent this little girl has is something most people will never know. As this summer comes to an end, I’ll miss the FaceTimes, “dawg” pics, daily journaling via phone, and amazing experiences that she has been having that we have been able to be a part of. Also she was blessed with the most AMAZING roommate ever. We’ll miss you, Ella!! Come visit us from South Carolina!
Over the last several years Devree and her love of ballet, and extreme talent, have taken us to so many places… Hong Kong, New York, Italy, Boston, etc… I can’t wait to see how this crazy journey transitions in a couple years when she can actually fly from her cozy nest. After two canceled flights… we decided to laugh instead of cry. Sending “ugly” faces/silly videos to each other on our second alternative flight made me laugh the entire time. Especially when I air dropped it to some random dude on accident. He’ll definitely have nightmares of my claw face/hand in the future. Love these little ladies.
