We are happy to finally share the teaser of our new piece Warm Weight

Warm Weight investigates the relationship that exists between an individual and their own ego. We wanted to address the importance of tenderness and the need to access a greater contemplation upon things. Throughout the process there was one idea that stayed with us: “the urgent need to soften the ego”.

We received an Artistic Residency held by @metamorphosis.dance where we developed this research and started our creation. Thank you very much for your trust.

And last but not least, infinite thanks to @_claudiaherran for your beautiful work, it’s been so great to work with you <3

JAM DE DANZA SOLIDARIA — BARCELONA

La Confiture” (jam benéfica) surge de las ganas de reunir a la comunidad de la danza en un espacio libre, acogedor y solidario para crear vínculos y apoyar una causa que nos parece importante. En esta ocasión, increíble @_koratge estará allí para calentarnos y guiarnos durante el evento (gracias, Kora!)

Todos los beneficios del evento serán donados al festival TOLEKA organizado por @compagnie_du_lak compaña de danza de Kisangani (República Democrática del Congo). Este festival cultural busca hacer accesibles los espectáculos de danza para todxs con la ambición promover el compartir, la tolerancia, la convivencia y la unidad.

La idea de esta jam benéfica surge como una de las pocas maneras que encontramos de actuar de forma constructiva: crear un espacio para la comunidad y apoyar a un proyecto cuya lucha es hoy más que necesaria.

We are very happy to share the teaser of ACTO III, our first short piece!

Can we dance without ego? This question, without a defined answer, was driving us during this creation. ACTO III represents an attempt to approach a form of ego-less creativity, exploring the desire to release individual will. Through this journey, we realize that the very act of creating and performing is one in which the ego dissolves and manifests almost simultaneously. We are interested in both sides of this balance: the absurdity of seriousness in dance and, at the same time, the transformative value of this poetic act.

🌈Julia Kayser et Théo Vanpop font leurs premiers pas en tant que chorégraphes et se sont associés en 2024. Tous deux interprètes au sein de Cie à travers l’Europe. Ils sont aussi finalistes du concours @sobanova ( Paris).
☀️Ils poursuivent une exploration commune révélant un intérêt profond pour l’improvisation et la recherche.
