Why, the Standup Comedy Incubator, of course! 🪿🎤📚The Comedy Incubator for Underrepresented Genders is NOW RECRUITING for Cohort 8, coming at you Fall 2026!We’re ISO new and aspiring comedians in the DMV, from those who have never been on stage to those who have been performing for up to one year. The group meets for weekly workshops, getting the opportunity to network with other comedians (peers who are new in the space and seasoned comics), explore joke structure and formats, and – most of all – to build community and workshop material, culminating with a graduation showcase in DC!🙌🎤Spread the word, apply, and/or nominate a funny friend today. “Thanks y’all, that’s my time.”Dana Fink was a hilarious and clever new comedian as well as a passionate lifelong advocate for the rights and independence of people with disabilities. She should have been on our SqueakyFest show last night. She passed away last weekend. Still, she was there. We were able to screen this video — her graduation set from the Standup Comedy Incubator for Underrepresented Genders — at the event and bring her back into the room. We laughed, we cried, we missed her.We’re sharing the video here as well as a testament to her spark, wit, and incredible life.If you’re so moved, Dana’s family asks that donations be made to @canineorg and/or @disabilityculturelab as a way to honor her passion for advancing autonomy for people with disabilities. by @jkcomedycollective

Spooky season came early this year and it was absolutely defrightful! On Saturday, our audiences were cackling nonstop at two sold-out Summerween Comedy Shows in the stunning @congcemetery Chapel. This was a truly spooktacular celebration complete with jack-o-melons (and pineapples), a very chill skeleton, and a whole lot of charmingly macabre vibes — not to mention our killer comedy lineup with headliner @griefcatpartytime along with @kade.wonders @chaoticviolet @maddieclaireperkins @jelaniwills @dfleitman Huge thanks to Congressional Cemetery and the volunteers who made this such a scream come true.
