Dana Fink was a hilarious and clever new comedian as well as a passionate lifelong advocate for the rights and independence of people with disabilities. She should have been on our SqueakyFest show last night. She passed away last weekend.
Still, she was there. We were able to screen this video — her graduation set from the Standup Comedy Incubator for Underrepresented Genders — at the event and bring her back into the room. We laughed, we cried, we missed her.
We’re sharing the video here as well as a testament to her spark, wit, and incredible life.
If you’re so moved, Dana’s family asks that donations be made to @canineorg and/or @disabilityculturelab as a way to honor her passion for advancing autonomy for people with disabilities.
