☆⋆˚࿔⋆✴︎˚｡⋆ HUGE THANKS!!! ⋆✴︎˚｡⋆⭑.ᐟ I haven’t written and directed a short film in over 6 years and am extremely thankful as we acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts and BC Arts Council for funding “You OK? OK!” - a queer asian comedy drama short [that’s kind of inspired by some real life events??¿¿!!☆.ᐟ] The story ᢉ𐭩 “With a traditional Chinese Dad suffering from short term memory loss every time his blood pressure spikes high - queer couple Ace and Darby find out they can lie that they’re ‘straight’ roommates to Dad each time he wakes up!” ⋆⭒˚.⋆ And… we’re casting! Scroll through the squares and if anyone or yourself are interested, please share and email us at littlewhiteliesproduction@gmail.com to ask about auditions. Deadline for self tapes is Thurs. Jan 29th, 2026. This is paid! ⊹ ࣪ ˖ We’re looking for union and non-union performers, also those who speak Cantonese or Mandarin! Shooting late March / early April. Written & directed by yours truly, produced by @heyits.night, casting by @judyleecasting [ps: thanks to all my pals, fams and collaborators for being patient with me as this is finally happening 🙇] #BringingTheArtsToLife by @jlamarts

Be kind to your old art 🐥 ✨ ε=ε=(っ* ´□` )っ ✨ If you swipe to the end I’m having my majorly old 4th year thesis short film, screening at @queerarts at 7pm Sunday June 26th at Roundhouse Community Centre this year. It’s never been shown to the public eye than my cohort at @filmubc in 2018 but ever since, I was crippled with it’s imperfection and hid it away. I’ve been able to remove my red-tinted glasses and see it as a beautiful learning exercise in my erratic creativity despite all it’s flaws that film students tend to make lol. This piece couldn’t have been done without the amazing cast and crew you can see in last pic as well as the amazing score and sound work you hear from @taytch @jxnbell & Sean Wilson, amazing art direction from @fanyfromtheattic and creature work from @brendanmurphydesign. Monkey See Monkey Do is a Queer Asian Horror Short Film about a demon who comes out of a board game and spooks Queer students. I guess, have a freaky Pride Month? 🌈 by @jlamarts
