“it was the end of era, but the start of an age” ✨🧠🎓 after two and a half years of blood, sweat, and tears… i OFFICIALLY have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling 🥺 truly cannot wait to see what’s in store for this next chapter of my life and am so thankful for every single person who has helped me along the way. i wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the constant prayer and support from so many! now to recover from 842 days straight of grad school 🙂‍↕️😴

Asking for help again is hard for me, but this matters too much not to.

I’ve poured everything into Willow & Wand, hazmat suit days included. We’re so close. The shelves, the books, and the coffee equipment are all in the building. But a few big pieces of construction that aren’t in our hands have put us about two months behind.

So we started a GoFundMe: $13,000 by Halloween. The people closest to us have already given $370, and I’d love to hit $1,000 before we go public tomorrow. 📚

🚨Long video alert🚨 165 days ago I posted on TikTok saying I wanted to open a bookstore. And well… here we are! I managed to cram nearly 6 months into an 8 minute video showing how far we’ve come.

On October 3rd, we had our Franklin Fixtures delivered 💁‍♀️

Construction is a bit behind schedule but we’re not letting anything stop us 💪

Thanks to everyone who came to help out this morning! Seeing these in store is genuinely surreal 🥹

So… we’ve got our bookshelves coming to Willow & Wand Bookstore Café this Saturday at 8am 🤗 we’ll need a few people able to do some heavy lifting, moving shelves, and anchoring them into place, so if that’s you and you’d want to donate a couple hours of your time, please message or text me ASAP!

The shelves fixtures themselves have specific instruction on how to install so I’ll have all of that in store.

Should only be 2-3 hours or so. I’ll update this post once we’ve got enough people to not overcrowd anything.

I’ve got more projects in the pipeline too that I’ll be reaching out to people who have filled out the volunteer forms too! by @jlmcvey_

Plans are approved. Four months of paperwork, done. Trades can work, inspections can happen, shelving can come.
